Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a while, but finally decided to post. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 1/2 years, living together for 2. He has 2 children from a previous marriage, and while I have never been married, I have a child, also. We have been blessed with everyone connecting so well. We have spent the past year talking about marriage, and went ring shopping last week. My daughter has a hard time adjusting to new situations, so we brought this up to her last week(she is 13). While she is happy with our life, she is afraid of the change. My boyfriend loves her dearly, and wants to help however he can to make this an easy process, but I was stumped on how to go about making it easier for her.
To my surprise, while I was in school yesterday, he took her to look at the rings we had looked at to get her opinion! When I talked to her last night, she seemed so excited and even told him which one she liked the best for him to buy me!
I am so blessed to have the family(and soon to be family) that I have. I can't wait until the day comes that he proposes and we can make our family official!
