I'm jealous, Star. I want to seriously update our kitchen. We have the new appliances, which is an awesome start. But the nasty faded linolium needs to go... as do the 1970s orange countertops. But they're in really good condition, so I don't want to just throw them. I'm seriously considering painting them.

I know, and I know it can't be good times all the time. The problem is I seriously love some of the people I work with and the idea of never having good times with them is hard for me. Its all pointless though since I have no prospects at the moment though I should get the results from that stupid test soon.

That's funny about Lucy, AATB. When I skype with my daughter she talks to Nala, who recognizes her voice but can't find her. I guess she can't see the image on the laptop screen. It's cute - she'll run down the hallway to A's room looking for her.

I don't think I remember how to make a paper airplane. That's kind of sad.

We just got an email lecturing everyone on their low production numbers, and said that everyone not meeting demands is being put on a performance plan. That's like, 90% of our team. I have to admit, as stressed out as I get with work, I'm so glad I don't have the performance plan to worry about on top of it all. I'll just sit here and be content.

We lucked out with cabinets, appliances and counters- the builder did a nice job with all of that but since every unit looks the same, we had to make our own changes.

I REALLY need to try and find before pics. I am so mad at myself. I don't think I took complete before shots to show the updates :( I may have some from thanksgiving. idiot.

Dude, speaking of production...I just got $100 in Target gift cards for winning the contest for the last pay period. It was for the CW who writes/completes the most sites.

Star- You've done a lot! Congrats. If you want to feel better, I can give you our list of things we need to get done.

H came home with bad news last night. We were in the final stages of re-financing H's VA loan and he got notified that it all went down the drain. Turns out his original loan wasn't a VA, even though he thought it was. They'd denied him because he hadn't fixed something in the house in order to qualify for the VA. So, now we have to start all over again, and get an appraisal. For the appraisal, we can't be in the midst of construction so we'll have to wrap up our current projects and do some slapdash repair work on some of the drywall we've taken out to run cable/phone/internet. Fuuuuuck.

They have a really hard time with flat images. So TV, pcitures, anything that is flat or 2D is difficult for them to make out.

Cats however can see perfectly in 2D.

No. It's making me nuts! I think we're going to ditch Bank of America and find somewhere else to do our re-fi through. They've been extraordinarily unhelpful. Poopheads. Anyone have a company that they trust or really hate? I'll take guidance please.

This morning I got into an incident with a Ahole semi driver. I needed to get over in front of him and there was plenty of room, but when I got over the car in front of my slammed on the brakes, so when I look up the semi is slamming on his and just about rear ended me, so now this is MY fault. So, he pulls into the left lane to get next to me and cuss me. Love starting my day like that!

That sucks KD but it takes a semi driver 1/4 of a mile to come to a complete stop.

I had Wells Fargo with my house and H has always used them as well, we just refinanced our house for a lower rate as well as putting me on the paperwork.

I have always hated BofA. Terrible customer service and business practices. They are usually ranked high on lousy customer service.

I think in general truck drivers get a bad reputation. There are some really good drivers but there are also some really bad drivers too I suppose. I would be incredibly nervous to drive something that big.

Chiming in:

-I would have never expected laundry detergent to be so bad in the eye! Was there bleach or something "extra" in there? I hope you get feeling better!

-Looking good Chels! You look like a princess! I love the headpiece/veil. I had my final fitting on Friday and I am a little nervous that its a tad on the big side. My sister says they could have pulled it a little tighter but I don't know.

-This is a random confession based off whoevers alergies were bad. I kinda like when my I lose my voice or I get really hoarse. Which is stupid I know. But I can scream at crazy volumes for extended periods of time (8 years of marching band, playing competetive sports and teaching classes with 120 kids and instruments will do that) and I think it's kinda fun to not be able to talk. Mine will only go if I'm sick + I've been screaming.

I agree. I also think the rentable box trucks give real truck drivers a bad name too. You got somebody who drives a small compact car behind the wheen of a box truck and they drive like morons sometimes.

Also- maybe its just regional. There are very strict driving laws for truck drivers here. They can only drive in the first 2 lanes, cant drive more than X amount of hours a week, the driving test is done by state troopers and is really hard to pass.

But I do know the last think they want to do is hit you because they could kill you. My Dad and brother tell me all the time about people cutting them off etc (not saying KD did this!!) and one of my dads drivers ran his truck into a ditch into trees and almost over a cliff because some teenager cut him off and if he had hit him he would have killed him. He figured him slamming into a tree would be better than him smashing into this kids hoopty.

Les- I'll have to check to see if we have ENT near us.

I'm suggesting that we go through his credit union. But, their rates aren't that great.
