  My two favorite less expensive photogs are James Murphy Photography and Mandy Mayberry Photography.  You'll get a lot of talent for a little money.

  Hi!  No photographer will give you full rights, but you should be able to get copyrights.  There is a difference!! 
  
  If you find a photographer that you like but is slightly over your budget, see if you can use them for fewer hours, use only one photographer (no second shooter), etc.

  Actually there are photographers who give full rights like your raw digital files with a paper stating you have ownership but they tend to be a bit more pricey, not in the 1,000 range. Lisa Rigby is one of them. www.lisarigbyphotography.com

  Definitely check out Matt Ellsworth!  He will shoot as long as you want - you have him for the day - and does great work!  You can check out his wedding work on the following site...  http://www.pbase.com/mellsworth1967/weddings
