How did you ask your MOH?

Dinner, flowers? Ugly dress in a box?

I'm at loss how to make it funny.

I'm not sure if my way was that funny, but I made a little booklet and put it in an envelope filled with TONS of heart-shaped confetti (so when my MOHs and BMs opened the envelope they would get a bunch of confetti all over themselves).

The booklet had their name on the cover with a heart made out of rhinestones, then the next page was a "will you be my MOH/BM?" poem, then the following pages were FAQ type of stuff (wedding colors, stuff I had in mind, basic Bio sort of stuff). I asked each girl at a few different places, I had a little party where 2 of my local girls came over to my place and I had hor'dourves, cupcakes, and booze and I surprised them with the envelopes. Then for another local girl (who couldn't come to the party) I had her meet me at a Starbucks at Pike Place, then we strolled around and had a good day together. My FSIL (who lives on the East Coast) was visiting Portland, and I asked her over breakfast at this cute funky brunch place while FI and I were down there visiting her. And I mailed my MOH (who lives in ATL) her envelope, and we talked on the phone for hours the evening she received it.

I spent A LOT of time doing this for my 3 BMs and 2 MOHs, like weeks for 1-2 hours a day (usually while I was watching SYTTD). It was really fun, and I would recommend it if you're at all crafty.

My MOH was basically a given because she's my sister and we're incredibly close, but to officially ask her (and to ask my two other bridesmaids from Seattle), I arranged a little "spa evening" at the nail salon by my work. I invited all 3 girls without telling them why (well, my sister knew), and then gave them cards I made (and treated them to a mani/pedi).

All of the girls loved it, and really liked their cards too. Not really funny though

For my final bridesmaid, FI's sister, I had to mail her card since she lives in Cali.

i called them and asked them... asked one over IM... took one out to lunch. 3 of my 4 bridesmaids live 2000 miles away...
