good idea for engagement party?

I really wanted to do something unique and fun, not just a boring dinner. I decided to rent a dinner train we have in our town for a Sat night. It serves a nice dinner and has actors doing a murder mystery while you eat. Is this cheesy or does it sound fun??

    Well the party is for myself, but my parents are paying for it and my mom is doing the majority of the planning. I wanted to help out specifically so I could make sure it was something everyone enjoyed doing. The only people who are going to be invited are family and close friends bc the train only holds 56 people. Since I see these people on a weekly basis, I wanted it to be more than just having a dinner so everyone can congratulate me. I wanted it to be a fun activity too.
