Anyone? Bueller?

Re: Anyone? Bueller?

  • Anyone still playing here?

I also want to be a fancy lady who lunches in a large hat.  H is relatively supportive of my acheiving that dream someday.  I have promised to clean the house obsessively and greet him at the door with his slippers in one hand and a cocktail in the other if he makes that dream a reality for me.
  • FMILs papillon has a look in his eyes like he's being abused when he gets a bath. It's hilarious.
  • Someone on here had a floppy hat bridal shower (I think?). I was insanely jealous.
  • When I had shingles, or whatever it was. I went to the doctor and I was talking to my mom on FB while I was waiting for the doctor to come in and she was like, ugh I should've gone with you. Mom, this isn't life or death...it's just a rash.
  • Hi Rachers. I hope you can find a way to keep her away. I hate hovering as well.

  • Yes! It was you! That looked like so much fun.

[QUOTE]Is anyone still playing? We just got back from dinner for BIL's birthday. It was lovely to sit outside and have dinner. And I know I've been drinking wine when I start to use the words like lovely. Now my Mom is insisting that having wisdom teeth removed is a "tough surgery" so she needs to come take care of me. It's a nice gesture but the last thing I want is my Mom hovering over me. Over a surgery that isn't even scheduled yet. So what's up with y'all?

I'm here. <div>I will say...when I had my wisdom teeth out I was miserable...but I can imagine it would have been even more miserable if I was an adult with my mother hovering over me. </div><div>
<div>H is packing since we leave for Hawaii on Friday! I, however am a master procrastinator and have yet to start.</div></div>

  • Ugh, hovering.

    Hey, Rach :)

Aleigh, I didn't realize you were so close! Oh man, those last few days were fun, but they flew for me.
  • I started packing for the honeymoon today. We don't leave until Sunday but I really won't have time Friday or Saturday. My goal is to pack most of my shitt in a carry-on so we only have to check 1 bag. It's $25 a bag and I did not want to pay $50 at the airport.
  • BTW, we can't spell shitt with two i's anymore. It's gotta be two t's. They've caught on.
  • Thanks Rach! It's me - from my pin up girl shoot. That's the first time I've ever had my make up professionally done.
  • Thanks, Rach! I think that's my favorite wedding pic of myself, alone.

Aleigh, where are you going on your HM?

Crash, where are you going in Hawaii? I wish we were leaving so soon--I'm counting days.
  • Any time I am packing for England I start packing like two weeks ahead of time. Then take everything out and pack again. And again. It's just because I'm excited.
  • Couples Negril in Jamaica. Sooooo excited.
  • When we went to SF, I had to take things out and put them in H's bag at the airport. Luckily, they were nice about it.

Poke, were you the one with the really cute pinup pic on the vintage car? I loved that pic.
  • Awww Rach, I'm blushing. I'm lazy with my make up. If I could do that look all the time on myself I probably would. It was fun. But it took freaking forever.

And no, Nates, that wasn't me. Sounds like a fun pic though!
  • Nates-We're going to Maui.

I'm ready to get gone. This week has been super annoying at work and at home. Unfortunately, our plane leaves at 6:50.
    I'm going to die.

  • Hi ladies! Just popping in to say hey. FI and I are watching SOA DVDs.

  • I packed Saturday afternoon after the wedding for 2 weeks in Italy and we left Sunday morning.  I am usually one of the ones packing two weeks early though.
  • Oh, I love the pinup style, so I figured it was you. You look beautiful, though!

Rach, me too. They're comfortable. And I am forever packing seven different options for a two day trip. My big frea is getting somewhere and not liking the clothes I packed.

Crash, tell me everything you loved/hated when you get back, please. Our flight is crazy early, too, but i wanted as much travel time to be on off hours and as much time there as possible.

I will! <div>Are you guys going to Maui too? </div><div>What hotel are you staying at?</div>

  • Yeahhh. Our flight is at 7:55 and the airport is an hour and a half away. We will be leaving the apartment at 4am.
  • Hi Angel : )

Thanks Nates, that's really sweet of you to say.

And Crash, you really must post Hawaii pics.
  • I can never pack early--it just makes me too excited. Maybe a few days in advance, but that's it. But usually I need to do laundry, so I'm literally taking things out of the dryer, folding them, and putting them in the suitcase. Lazy.

Yep, Crash! We're staying at the Hyatt in July. You guys?

Ouch! <div>At least we'll only be leaving about 4-4:30. I just hate that the early morning flights are usually so packed with business travelers. </div><div>When I came back from Chicago on a 6:30AM flight, I had to actually check my carry on at the gate because there were so many people on the plane.</div>

  • I want to go somewhere tropical for the honeymoon but I have no idea where.

  • Rachers, I used picture trail and webshots when I was younger. I don't know what kind of security settings they have though.

  • I just want a HM in general : (
  • On the message boards for our resort everyone says to pack mostly bathing suits and cover ups. That is going to be so hard for me. I'm such an over packer.
