White by Vera Wang at David's Bridal

Has anyone tried this line of dresses on? How is the quality? They look too good to be true since I have heard some horror stories about David's bridal.

Thanks!

Re: White by Vera Wang at David's Bridal

  • I had a great experience trying on the Vera Wang dresses.   I am not a big fan of David's Bridal, but I wanted a Vera Wang dress.  I could not afford a $15,000 dress from her salon. The dresses in the DB collection were very similar in style.  The one I bought is almost identical to the one I saw on Vera's website.

I found four online and had an agenda when I showed up. I did not have an appointment and they were extremely busy.  The manager made the time for me to try on the dresses I was interested in.  Very impressed that they made time for me on a busy Saturday.

Down side... The dress came in very early.  Nobody called and they almost sent it back.  Luckily I talked them out of it.  When I picked up my dress, I was not allowed to try it on.  They also handed it to me covered in drycleaning plastic.  I was told that a bag was $10. $10 after spending $1300 on a dress and $200 on accessories? No special Vera Wang Bag either...just a tacky, cheap DB bag.  Honestly I woud have paid $100 for a nicer bag. I am also hesitant about my upcoming alterations appointment.  I was told they only do a certain syle of alterations and are not very flexible. (Example, they will not change necklines or do fancy bustles) Hence, I may go elsewhere.

Overall....I love my dress and cannot wait to wear it!!!  I wanted a Kardashian-like Vera Wang dress and I found it!!!!
