Tonight I'm picking up my son from "school" and taking him to our favorite pizza place and to play at the park for a little bit even though it's his father weekend.  He's going out of town with his dad for a few days so I got a little extra time tonight! :)

After I drop him off at his dad's house I'm heading to my apartment to pack, pack and pack.  Then to BF's to meet him after his softball game to unpack, sort and put things away tonight.  Tomorrow we are cleaning carpets int he morning, then he's doing yardwork most of the day while I go to my place and pack some more.  We'll take a couple loads of stuff to the house tomorrow evening then probably have some beers and relax.  Sunday should be church and then more moving, my dad is helping us move my big stuff on Father's Day... poor guy.

Spending the weekend camping with a group of people I don't know very well, but am trying to befriend. I'm excited, but apprehensive about spending 48 hours in a small space with new-ish friends.
Acro - What are you working on now. Programs? You are my personal alarm clock.
    Posted by katanne9
Yup, should be finishing them tonight.  ::crosses fingers::  Haha, I'm a faulty alarm clock!  I'm trying to get everything done by the end of June so I can help FI plan the LARP for Aug. 6-8 (they would schedule it the weekend before our wedding) during July.  I want to have everything done except for maybe the escort cards...but most of them done as well.  AND I'm trying to get our friend's invitations done by then too.  It's going to be a busy couple of weekends.

Jeter- until you get to know your new town better a decent, clean apartment isn't so bad! You can find something more lovable once you know your way around and can ask people about different areas. You'll be fine. Cool

This weekend- I am trying very hard to convince myself to start on my thank you notes, like, right now. I have spent today running around and calling places to get my name changed. I'm just about done with that. I ate lunch and then ate strawberry shortcake for good measure. I am absolutely gaining weight now that all my stress is gone. Woopsie.

Tonight I'm sure we'll do some online gaming. Tomorrow morning/afternoon is volunteering as usual. I hope I can get out of there at a decent time this week. The past few times I've been stuck there all day because the other volunteers were running around picking up animals from vets and taking other animals to new homes and whatnot. It's all good, but I don't REALLY want to sit alone with a table full of cats for 6 hours on Saturday. I'm supposed to only be there for like 3 or 4 hours.

Tomorrow night- probably more online gaming.

Sunday we're heading to visit with the in-laws. I always have this weird apprehension about that. I'm excited to go, but also timid about it. I WANT to go, but I'm afraid something will go wrong. I need to take a few deep breaths and just be myself. If I am calm and happy on the inside, everyone else will feel calm and happy (well, normally I'm the one taking cues from everybody else's emotions, but I need to take some initiative here).

Monday will be back to painting class and faxing our marriage certificate to different places to round out the name change and get me on DH's health insurance policy.

Jeana - That's what I was thinking.  It's so hard to judge where to even live when you don't know a city at all.  So I figure this is a good of place as any to start out at.  Then by the time our lease is up, we will have figured the city out and know where we'd like to stay.  Neither of us have ever really been to Shreveport before this, so it's definitely going to be different for the both of us.

Good luck with the IL's this weekend!!

Kat!  I finished my programs!  WOOOHOOO!  They had all kinds of personal info on them, so the only picture I really took is of them in the basket, and it's a bad cell phone pic.  Sorry!

My FI's aunt bought us these for the RD.  It's super-laidback, so I think they're fine for that.  It was a nice thought on her part.  They came in the mail Saturday as a complete surprise to me and FI.

And obligatory shot of the puppy enjoying the baby pool we set up for him and our other dog (the one in my sig).
