Welcome party

I am trying to figure out where to have a welcome party/meet and greet the night before the wedding because I'm sure that is when most people will be arriving.  I'm trying to keep it inexpensive.  Any one have any thoughts?  Where did you have yours if you had one?  I was thinking maybe one of the buffets?  I think I saw that Stinkerbell did that?  Any ideas are appreciated.  Still a year out but I like to be on top of stuff.

We are having ours in Yolos at Planet Hollywood. Are you planning on hosting? We aren't, and I searched high and low for somewhere that wouldn't be a strain on our guests budgets. Yolos group menus start from $25/head, and the decor looks really funky and modern. You can only book it within 3 months of your event though. It is perfect for a mid-strip, informal dinner IMO.

Actually we went to Margaritaville and it was an informal, just "Hey! This is where we are..." Really fun atmosphere and you could prob do so app's and "1st Drink On Us" and not spend to much.

We just did beer and pizza up in the Vista Suite.  Hardly cost us anything, and it was a nice relaxed way to kick everything off.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

We are also doing Yolo's, but I'm not sure if we are doing the group menu or just letting everyone get what they like off the menu.

Ebonyivory - is that an option at Yolos? Most places won't do seperate checks which is a pain in the a*se!

We are also having our welcome dinner at Yolos!

Gribbles - I talked to Keith who was extremely helpful and he said you could do seperate checks per table, if that helps!

We were actually looking at hosting it, so it would all be one check!

</div><div>Love!  I was thinking about doing something like this as well. Some of our guests have really long flights into LV that day, and may want to just do something light and breezy.

I have booked the double decker bus co. for a 2 hour guided strip tour for all our guests...seats like 72, holds 90 something total. Its $135/hour with 2 hour min. Im gonna bring a cooler with water, beer, pop, sangrias (my fave) and such. I thought as many times as people go to vegas they usually dont do a tour of the strip so this would be something different....with some great photo opportunities. We are also making a stop at the WTLV sign for pictures. We were gonna do a welcome dinner but even for passed hors d'ourves...it was going to be more expensive than our reception with MP catering. HTH & happy planning : )

I love your map too!!! Do you mind if I ask where you got that from?  I'd love to include something like that in our welcome packs.

Thanks Ladies! I knew you would have great ideas.  I am planning on hosting but am thinking just apps and drinks.  I love the double decker bus idea but I'm going to do that the day of on our way from the ceremony at MB to the dinner at Ceasars.  I'm glad it holds so many because then I can include everyone who comes.  Thanks!!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeee the double decker bus idea. Do you know if they provide transportation from strip hotel to downtown? Or do they just do strip tours? My ceremony is at Treasure Island (4p) and the reception is at Firefly (6p). I need to provide transportation for my guests, and the double decker bus sounds like an awesome idea.
