XP: Deliverable/Shipped Cupcakes For Bridesmaids?

Hey guys. I'm going to ask my bridesmaids around the one-year mark. I'd like to send them cupcakes with a card that says "Will you be my bridesmaid?"

At first, I wanted to make them myself, sort of cupcake-in-a-jar style. But then I started to get nervous about shipping them in early June. Something I read said to freeze them and send them frozen, but I fail to see how that will help if the shipping takes over 24 hours. 

So, then I started looking into companies to do it for me. I found some places on ETSY, but I wondered if anyone recommended any particular website OR had an idea about shipping them? It would be more personal if I could make them myself (because I love to make cupcakes and they all know this), and I wanted to include a cute spoon with them, but I can't do that if I send them from a place. So. I'm hoping someone has an idea for shipping. Three of my five are waaaay out-of-town, which is why the need for shipping.

    Pack them in dry ice. Or send one of those jars that's just the dry ingredients, where they add their own eggs and stuff. Or just send a card or call them.

    Sprinkles Cupcakes delivers. A lot of local bakeries will ship, too, if you ask them.

    Keep in mind that no matter how wel packaged or preserved the cupcakes are before being mailed - they'll be a wreck when they arrive.

    Or check Yelp.com for good places in each of their areas, and then call those places and see if they'll deliver and use your credit card to pay over the phone.
