Limo recommendation(s)

Hello All,

I REALLY need your help!  We are getting married on 10/15/11 in Jersey City and we have not had any luck obtaining a limo.  We called Santos, First Class and D&G (in addition to Bergen) and they are either all booked for that day or they don't have anything smaller than a limo to accommodate 14 passengers.  We are only looking for one reasonably priced limo to hold a max of 8 people.

Thank you (in advance) for your assistance.

sorry I'm having trouble understanding... so the problem is they only have things that seat 14+ but you only need 8 max?

If that's the case, we used mylimo

It was a flat rate of $104 (before tax/fees) for a regular, black stretch limo (holds 8). I didn't say anything about a wedding.

We used that one to get the bridal party over, and then a white stretch for DH & my getaway car. More expensive obviously (we paid $150 but it was supposed to be more than that. I don't remember what happened. I think someone underquoted and they honored it.. sweet!

btw I booked them like 4 days before our wedding LOL

Try Danaro - we're using them for our 9/7/12 wedding and so far so good. They're our halls recommended vendor so they can't be too awful otherwise my hall wouldn't recommend them. Their prices were also the most reasonable (by far) out of all of the limo companies we looked at. Also, my friend used them for her wedding last year and was very happy with them.

Try going to limos.com. You can enter the date and ammount of people you have and they will come back with quotes from different companies that are available for the date you want. It is sort of like bing or expedia but for limos.

They give you the company names, price quotes, and contact information so you can call and book directly with them.

Try going on wedding wire. I say that because each company is rated and you can see how each bride had experience with their service.
    I am using First Class.

Please note that a 14 person limo does not hold 14 people comfortably. With everyone in formal attire, you are looking more like 10-11 ( leaning more toward 10). I sat in First Class's 14 person BMW limo and I felt that I could only comfortable fit 9 men that were equal to my size. ( 6ft, 190 lbs). Girls with dresses take up a lot of room.

Yay I'm getting married that day too! We are using Denaro, great prices and he has a large fleet with many different options.  Good luck!

Yes, Santos was my first choice; but, their smallest is a 14 passenger one.

I called Danaro; but, they only had one big limo (I can't think of the passenger capacity) for that date.  This is going to be harder than we thought.

I've never heard of limos.com; but, I am willing to try anything right now.  Thanks for the tip. That is a funny picture.  I am well aware that girls in dresses take up a lot of room; so, that's why I want a 10 passenger limo, even though we have 3 bm (and 1 bride:).

Kingston, I was directing my post to Reilly, who enthusiastically recommended Santos even though you mentioned in your first post that they were out of the question.
