Our wedding is very casual. The BM are wearing like evening dresses.. with flats. My dress isnt very fancy... its nice but not extravagant. Now the GM's we are having a problem with. They are wearing white button up shirts with ties, and they insist on wearing their boots. Which im more than okay with

But the boots look tacky with black slacks?? Should we go with Black jeans? I dont want to go with dark blue jeans.. that would look out of place.. Any ideas??

What sort of boots--are they cowboy boots? And what color? I think black boots would work fine with black slacks for a casual wedding, but would choose another color or style of pant for any other type of boot.

mostly the tan boots.. actually a variety of boots. Fi has Tanish boots. I just think black jeans are really tacky and would look too informal for the dresses.

And have you already picked out BM dresses, or are the evening dresses just an idea? If you haven't picked them out and ordered yet, you could always opt to go more casual.

i'd suggest they wear black boots or black shoes, tan boots sound horribly clashy.

fyi - wearing flats instead of heals with floor length evening gowns doesn't make them casual. in fact there's nothing casual about a floor length evening gown. maybe you need to rethink this whole "causal" thing........
