I think you totally should do that. You were probably more careful the first time around since, ya know... the guy hadn't shown his douchecanoe colors yet, but you should totally go all out this time around!
Sara, I totally think you should do an epic TTD. You could even have 'em shoot while you are actually destroying the dress a la chainsaw or garbage grinder or something. (Ummm, you should not be IN the dress while performing its actual destruction, though, OK?)
Angel, yeah, I did it at the beach, and was super careful not to get it really wet or anything. I was trying to find the link to my TTD AW so I could show you guys (if you wanted to see), but I suck at finding posts lol
Wally - that gives you even more right to laugh at it.
Sara - I think that could be a good option too, if you don't want to donate it. And thanks! The really funny thing is, it's almost the total opposite of what I thought I'd end up with. I originally said I didn't want any beading OR lace. I wanted color and it had to be strapless with a corset lace up back.
This is what I really wanted when I started looking:
And my mom hated it. Not that she said it quite like that, but I could tell. I never got to try it on because they didn't have a sample in my size. She made me try on some stuff that was outside of what I'd been looking at and I ended up falling in love with something with both beading and lace. And cap sleeves. With a button up back.
ETA: And back when I was dress shopping - that dress came with other colors for the ribbon. I wanted blue.
Ugh, I can't believe I'm still feeling all left out over this stupid movie. He even called me from the theatre and said that if I bought a ticket to the second showing, which was 5 minutes after the first, I could probably sneak into the first show because there were spaces left. But with my luck, someone with an actual ticket would come and no way would I let them not have the seat they paid for, so I'd have to get up and leave and it would have been a mess. But yeah, I don't have a lot of people to go to the movies with and I was planning to see this one with him. It's so rare that we want to see the save movie. Ugh, quit being a baby, Angel.
Poke, I love the dress you didn't try on, but I also love the dress you bought, They're totally different looks and I think the one you wore suited you very well.

A few years ago my dad was thinking about taking H to a casino. He was 21 but I wasn't yet. I was cool with it. But then my mom said she wanted to go and I got really butthurt about it. It didn't seem fair to me that my parents got to go out of town with my H (bf at the time) and go to a casino but I couldn't. So I threw a bit of a hissy about it. Which really offended my mom. She couldn't understand that just my dad and H going was male bonding, but her tagging along was leaving me out. It wasn't very mature of me, and the trip ended up not happening. I felt kind of bad about that, but at the same time I know if they had actually gone I would have been super pissed.
No, I would have felt the same exact way as you in that situation. There's something excluding about your parents going out with your bf when you can't go.
I would have AWed in early May 2010. I'm searching as well. I *think* I AWed on E, and not SB. I migrated to SB after that I think. And now I'm shifting back to E.
Angel, I'd be bummed too. Sara, it actually is! And the guy is actually really cool-I met him at a literary festival i was helping at, and I had to sit with him. I thought he'd be a total douchecanoe, but he wasn't at all. Anyway, there are some fab TTD ideas in these. Poke, I like the dress you got much better than the other one. I saw that one at DB when I went-I thought I'd like it-but in person I didn't think it was pretty at all.
I can't really seem to break in over on SB. I mainly stick with "soft" E. Not that that prevents me from getting flamed over there, unfortunately, but what can ya do.

<div>I don't really go over there very often. I like it here. It's not that I think it's nicer than SB or anything, but I feel comfortable here. </div>
Poke, yeah, I see the same. I'm on E's page from back then, scrolling through lol
Angel, it seems to me there's a lot of bitching and arguing on SB lately. I like a lot of the girls who post there, but it's either super dead, or lots of complaining. annnnd I'll probably get flamed for this. lol
Hey Nates. Poke, Maybe. It was on my list of ones to try and try on(I'm plus-size), but once I saw it i didn't want to anymore. The upshot is that you looked great in it as well as being radiant with happiness.
I had really wanted to be long asleep by the time he got home. Boo.
I'm actually not totally sure how I ended up here either. My local board was dead, but I don't know why I thought, "Hey, Etiquette would be a good place to lurk." Although I may have seen the E board referenced over on SB or even CC and that could have brought me over this way. Who knows. I put way more thought into just now than was necessary.

Sara, I remember your TTD--on the beach with the big rocks, right? It was pretty sweet.
