This is Sam, our 3 ...almost 4 year old golden retriever. He's about 60lbs and still thinks he's small enough to be a lap dog. FI got him 6 months before we met, so I've basically been around his whole life. He's a mama's boy without a doubt, and mama loves to spoil him :)

Here's Duke, the other love of my life.  He's a yellow lab, about 8ish.  We got him almost 1.5 years ago.  He was free to a good home.  He's my baby and charms everyone with his sweet disposition.

We have one dog - Neeko!
He will be 3 years old this May and weighs about 6lbs.
He is a Pomeranian so he is almost all hair.

Here he is in his festive attire:

Doing what he loves to do best during christmas time - pretend to be a present under the christmas tree:

And this picture I think he kinda looks like an alien - he had gotten all snowy and then was turning his head from side to side when I was taking the pics so it blurred and created this:

You cant see it but this t-shirt says "Adopt Me" on the back. We used to foster rescue dogs and have this left over - he was being bad one night teasingly we put him in it - you can see how much he cares :).

Ahhh everyones pets are so sweet!!! I love this post....This is my sweet alaskin Malamute puppy....he is 9months and 105lbs. He's a whole lotta LOVE :) His name is ICE....but we notice we call him MONSTER...lol.....he is far from a monster....he loves to snuggle.

His first time in the snow he loved it...he was out for 3 hours constantly placying in the snow....we are getting him a harness so he can start pulling a sled with the neighbor kids

This was this August a couple months after we got him. He was about 50-60 lbs here

This was his first big snow storm...he would whine to be outside.....so cute!!!

Buckles is so cute!  I'm a sucker for dogs with big floppy ears.

I don't have any postable pictures, but our pup is named Wesley and we got him about 6 months ago.  We think he's about 2 years old now.  He's a beagle/black lab mix, so he's about the size of a beagle and so dark brown he looks black.  He's got some white on his chest/belly and paws.  We got him as a rescue from Homeward Bound.  He's my first pet ever and I love him so so so so so much!  I even made up a backstory for him.  He is Wesley, Proprietor of the Puppy Protection Agency.  He keeps watch over our neighborhood with a special eye on the mailman and UPS delivery guy (barks like a freak).  He's got employees all down the block, and they all bark at each other with their updates about what's going on in the neighborhood.  Everyone gets paid in belly rubs and treats.

He's taken to misbehaving lately, though.  He was perfect until this week when he got a taste for chocolate.  He at half a Lindt bar on Tuesday, and then half a box of Trader Joe's truffles yesterday.  The weird thing is that the truffles had been on that table for weeks and he had no interest in them, but he attacked them while FI and I were at work.  He hasn't gotten sick, though, but we're watching him.  We've learned now that we can never leave food out when we're not there to monitor it.

Yaay i love this thread :) Sarah--- I am such a sucker for any 'wolf' type dog. I want one so badly!!! I love how big and fluffy and lovable they are.

Currently, Tory is licking the carpet after FINALLY getting tired of me throwing her animal across the room and fetching it. I think it's hilarious how much labs LOVE to fetch. My old dog, a beagle, had absolutely NO interest in it. lol.

I love pet posts!!! Good way to get a few smiles/laughs in :)

This is my Cavalier king Charles- Finley. He turned 2 on November 22nd.
Shan-Missy is so little and cute- ugh Finn is like 20 pounds and just a hot mess! I need to get him in for a haircut as soon as it starts warming up! I did notice Finn has about 8X the amount of tail fur as Missy also- although I did just chop it all off cuz it was grossing me out

SarahSue- I think we need to set up some puppy play dates!  We've got a 10 month old Husky/Golden mix, Puckett (yes, like Kirby.)  He's a massive handful, but we still love him; he's lucky he's cute.

We adopted him from the humane society last May, where the promised he wouldn't get bigger than 40 pounds. Ha. He's at least 60 now, but still super thin so I have no clue where he hides it.  He currently spends the days tearing apart our apartment (usually stealing our clothes and blankets and making a massive pile in the living room that he naps on top of during the day.)  I'm pretty sure he would live outside in a snowbank if we would allow him.

This is the day we picked him up from the humane society. I can't believe he was that tiny.  He was so shy, we thought we were getting a nice calm timid puppy. He's proven us completely wrong. ;)
    ..

    Halloween

    .

ok, just a few more ;)  Snow time!

Missy was the runt of the litter and the breeder had a hard time finding a home for her. (She sells to mostly show families) She is a whooping 12lbs to date. FI and I love that she is small but not ity bity. We both are curious if she has stopped growing... her hair gets matty easily and she hates me combing it so I have been taking her to the groomers every other month.  :)

Sarah- where are you guys in the metro? We're St Paul/Roseville area and we usually go to the Woodview dog park.  There are at least 2-3 big dogs there all the time which is awesome.  Puck would play with the big dogs even when we was still only 10 pounds. He's terrified of the little white fluffy dogs. (A little evil pom mix bit him when he was like 3 months old.)

Puck also lies in his water dish, or splashed in it.  Not lately, but I'm wondering if he will again when it gets warm outside.  Now, instead, he just rolls around in the snow.

We are out in Ham Lake and go to a pet place called Stone Mountain right off 35W in Blaine. We are unsure of any dogs parks around. We used to have 2 alaskin malamutes that played together so we are new to the whole dog park thing.

Here is my Moose. He is a 4.5 year old German Shepherd. He is quite the character.

He got some brownie points two nights ago. We were getting ready for bed and he all of the sudden started to bark, and he never barks. My FI looked outside and saw 4 horses running by themselves down our street! So we called the non-emergency police right away to let them know someone lost their horses. We didn't want any of them to get hit. So about a half an hour later we saw the horses being escorted back up our street by a couple squad cars and what I assume was the owners. He heard those horses coming from inside the house when they were probably 4 houses away and yet he can't hear his name at the park when he is only a few feet away!! He is a good pup but he keeps us working!

Ok well Sarah&Steph, Tory would so love to be in on the big dog playing action ;) She gets SO SO excited when other big dogs from our apt complex are outside too, but since there is a rule about having them on a leash, they can't do much. It's been too cold for me to get her out to the dog park yet but I'm still planning on it!

<div>Ironically, he's ok with little black dogs.  Even little white mixes.  But if he sees anything like the dog that bit him, his tail quickly tucks under his legs.  It's so strange. He looks at other little dogs with more curiosity than anything else.. kind of like "what are you? can I play with you? will I break you?" One of his best friends from our apartment complex is a little poodle mix of some kind.</div>
