Hair help???

Alright ladies, i need your help with my hair. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding April 10th and I need some ideas of what to do with my hair. Here are some Chelsea Hair facts that might help...

my hair is SHORT right now - just above my shoulders
My hair doesn't like to curl very well and doesn't stay curled well without a TON of hairspray.
I have a kind of slight side-bang layered thing going on
I'm not very hip/trendy so hair sticking up every which way doesn't really sound appealing.

Any suggestions would be helpful. TIA!!!

What if you did something with a headband or a barrett to pull some of the hair back and let your bangs frame your face?

OOH! Yeah, I like that idea.

Now, if I were to wear a headband, what color should it be?? Our dresses are chocolate brown and we are wearing leopard print pumps. The wedding colors are chocolate brown and bright pink/magenta.

Do you think there's time for that??? Two weeks? I'm scared to buy things online, and would much rather go to a store and see the thing in person. Do you have an etsy seller in mind?

If you find the right seller that has something already made, yes, I think there's time. I'd order ASAP though. What does the BM dress look like?

The narrow one she has a plain leopard print one without a bow but if you wanted, you could probably contact her and ask to have a magenta bow added to it.

Hmm, I was going to say another option would be maybe a scarf style headband, but with the bow/sash thingie the dress has on, I wonder if another tied thing on your head might be too much? I might stick with a normal headband, but that's just me.

you can get cute headbands EVERYWHERE. I think you should get something with a flower or bow on it.

If you don't think that it is something that you are going to really wear again I would check Claire's/Icing in the mall. They have lots of cute/cheap choices, even some with flowers attached, etc.

i found the best selection at Forever 21 (im going through a headband phase myself). the headbands are usually under $10 AND if your feeling creative, you can dress it up a little. I think a magenta one with a bow on it would be really cute and bridesmaids'ee, but definately check with the bride for the color.

I think headbands are totally in right now and would look really good with your hairstyle.

I would make sure the bride is OK with a headband. Only because some brides are crazy about that kind of thing--I got an e-mail that no one is "allowed" to wear anything in their hair for the wedding in June I'm in.

Maybe pulling your hair back on one side (opposite your bangs)?

Oh yes, I've double checked with the bride - she wanted us to all do the same thing with our hair but she realized that mine is too short to do that, SO she gave me liberties to do what I want. Love her!

I think I might end up making my headband though - I'm making a trip to Michaels tonight for several things, so I think I'll check it out. I know they have the plastic bands that you can decorate so we'll see.

If that doesn't work I may try to find some kind of cute clip or something. Who knows.
