    Do you remember anything from when you were 4 years old? They aren't old enough to understand what is really going on, anyway or at least for the reason you want them there.

    I understand why you feel hurt by it. I also don't think it's fair to the B and G, because you are pressuring them to do something they don't want to do, or to your children; what happens when they start to pass out at 8pm, but you aren't ready to leave yet?  Plus, with no other children, you'd be in charge of keeping them occupied the whole time. I don't is it being fun for them either.

    Just leave them at home and enjoy yourself because they aren't going to care other wise.
