  1. Go shopping with girls at different times. 2. I'm not sure why it matters if she was looking for her dress while you were shopping for yours? You said you had a problem with not being able to get them to go look at dresses, so you should be happy your MOH was looking for one while there. It seems convenient. Why make two trips? 3. You are being really unrealistic here. That's their budget plain and simple. It doesn't matter what you would be willing to pay if you were in a wedding. Your girls were upfront about what they could pay. You can't expect someone to pay more than they can. $100 is a lot to some people. Plus, they might have travel expenses, hair, make up, presents etc.

  i dont think anyone is really wrong in this situation. I think that they could be willing to spend a little more because under $100 for everything is pretty unreasonable. At the same time, you need to respect their budgets and perhaps if you find dresses you all agree on you can make up the difference? Just ideas, again its kinda a hard call.

  I know we all have very different wedding visions, but I told my girls to each help me and find a dress website or designer that they like dresses from. That way I got an idea of their budgets and styles and could work from there.
  
  It's just an idea. Working with a lot of girls can be tough. Just remember that at the end of the day, they're still your friends so sometimes you just need to take a few deep breaths and vent to us on TK or to FI.

   I agree with the PP. Could you let them use their own shoes? Like black or silver to help them with their budgets? Maybe then you could spend more on a dress? And have considering getting them the accessories or jackets as a thank you gift for them?

  You should check out sale dresses at David's Bridal. Since you only have 3 BMs you could probably manage to get matching dresses on sale. I see some styles online for 49.99 all the time. You could also shop at department stores for sales. As for shoes...all but one wedding I've been in the brides have just asked that we wear the same color shoe (black) which most girls already have. Buying new ones would be up to them. I had to buy and die shoes for one wedding and it was kinda annoying to me because they are a style/color that I'll never wear again (plus they have grass stains since they were light colored and it was an outdoor ceremony). I was never asked what my budget was for weddings I've been in and I've stressed myself out having to spend close to $1000 each time a friend gets married!! I plan on giving my BMs a swatch and letting them find a dress they like that's in their budget.

  I ditto that $100 is a lot of money for some poeple. I'm in 3 weddings this year before my own, and have to attend 2 others as a guest.
  
  I found bridemaid dresses for $60 a piece. They get to wear their own shoes and I'm buying the required shawls for all of them. Everyone was very grateful.
  
  You asked them for a budget, be respectful and stick to it since you asked for it.
