Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament- Rehersal Dinner?

Hi Ladies?

Does anyone have suggestions of a place around the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament? We're looking for something with a private room...any ideas?

Thanks!

Vanessa

I don't think you're going to find anything near the Cathedral. You'll probably have to pick a restaurant in downtown Detroit or in the suburbs. I would probably pick somewhere in the burbs close to where most people live. What type of venue are you looking for? Price? # of people?

On Woodward there is Atlas Global, which is a very nice restaurant. The Whitney as well.

Thanks Ladies! In terms of price, we were originallly thinking of something like Pizza Papalis, but we don't want to have italian 2 nights in a row (lots of pasta and such will be served at the wedding!). There are apx 28 people.

I'll have to check out the Atlas place!

I just checked the website for Atlas Global Bistro, I guess that's sort of pricey (or not, depending on your budget)

    Alternatives:

Town Pump Tavern, behind Hockeytown Cafe (which is always fun, but not much in line with rehearsal dinners unless you are a big Red Wing fan)

Also, I just consulted a map, which is a good thing, LOL. Blessed Sacrament is roughly half way between the city limit of 8 Mile and downtown, meaning you can choose any restaurant downtown OR in the suburbs north of Detroit, ie Berkley or Royal Oak. I guess it depends where your family or friends are staying, and your budget.

The Tigers are not home that weekend (I know this because I checked your knot bio, and they are playing the Oakland A's, and we'll be there to see them while on our honeymoon!) so there's no "Tiger traffic" to worry about.

Greektown is great, there's Fishbone's which has good Cajun food, and this link has several of the Greektown restaurants:

Knowing your budget would help, but hopefully this gives you enough to think about.

When is your wedding day??  We are also getting married at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament....it's soooo beautiful.  We were thinking about having the rehearsal dinner somewhere downtown as well.  We haven't decided where though.
