AW 33 days!! (Long)

It has been awhile since I have been on. I have been trying since Saturday to navigate through the boards and post a topic but everytime I tried I got errors. Finally opened the write a new post in a new window and it worked.

Anyways...

I can't believe it's 33 days away! We dropped off my rings this weekend to be soldered and my e-ring needed to be sized to fit weird into my wedding band wrap. So I am without a ring for 33 more days!! (won't wear it when I get it back soldered)

While I was there I fell in love with some jewelry in their clearance section that I will be wearing on my wedding day.

I also picked up my bridesmaids pearl studs to wear. This is a gift, but not their gift for being in my wedding. On the day of my shower/bach party I am picking them up for a surprise. I am taking them to the beauty school I found and we're getting pedicures, facials, and then having our hair styled. I thought they would appreciate and enjoy some pampering.

I have so much to do, and want to get so much done while I am on vacation from school. My FI told me today he's nervous, more so just the big change, the unknown. Nothing relationship wise, we're great, haven't been better. So I want to find a way to calm his nerves. He is also concerned about everyone having a good time at our wedding.

Anyone have suggestions for sheer material that isn't expensive and you would be able to see lights shining through like when they drape ceilings or tables and have lights behind the drapes, what kind of material are they using? I was thinking for the ceremony site I will hang a bunch of white lights and have a sheer material over the lights. Easy, and already have the lights!

Well, better go be productive and get to checking things off of my to-do list!

Woohoo!  The last month always flies by!

I'd be so naked without a ring - are you going to wear a placeholder ring until the wedding?!  I know they have fakies at Claire's if you just want something on your finger :)

The sheer fabric could be organza (expensive) or chiffon (not as expensive) or tulle (inexpensive).  They all feel a little bit different.  Try going to Michael's to see if they have tulle on bolts or in a special pack - you could print out a bunch of 40% off coupons and get them for cheap that way.  Joann's also takes those coupons and has open stock fabric, so maybe you could get 40% off per yard there?  Do you know how much you need?  Another idea would be to check with the site's coordinator to see if they have those decorations already - you might get away with paying nothing or maybe a small rental/use fee :D  GL!

Enjoy the last month of your engagement!!

I am wearing a different ring he had gotten me. We were looking at the fashion rings at JC Penney's the other night and I almost bought one that looks more like an engagement ring than the one I am wearing now since it was on clearance for about $7. I'll wear this one, but it's going to be a long 33 days without my ring.

    Thanks for the tips!

Wow, a month to go! Yayyyyy! I hope the next month is a blast for you. I cannot wait to see the photos by Brit :)  And please give us a review of how your day with the bridesmaid's goes at the beauty school. That's a great idea!

I agree with Little Sweetie, check for tulle at Michaels and JoAnns. I know they have some in the wedding section at both places and I would guess at least Jo Ann's has more in the fabric section.

good luck and enjoy your last days as single gal!

The last month just flies!  And I said I wasn't going to wear my ring once it was soldered either...and even though I never wore it out of the house...you better believe I couldn't keep that ring off my finger when I was at home :D

As far as sheer material, I used curtains I found at Ikea for behind our headtable.   They were $4.99 for two curtains, I believe.  They looked awesome with lights behind it, IMO. :)

There might be pictures in my married bio (www.mrsjimandaim09.weebly.com); I can't remember! :)

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the ideas on fabric. My PA and I are going to the ceremony site and going to look for ways to decorate today.

Aimee I love your thinking about the ring....I just might have to do the same thng. :)
