Workout Accountability: Tuesday

Morning!

Last night I lifted and did half an hour on the elliptical followed by some ab work.  Tonight will be a 3-5 mile run.  I only have a half-day at work since we have our company lunch and I'm free to go after!  I'll be able to get to the gym early for once instead of during peak hours.

How did everyone else do?

  • I was bad.  Went to the gym and it was super packed and I got nervous and left.  Needless to say my gym phobia is back!  I miss the long days of summer where I don't need the gym!  If it counts at all, I walked the dog and walk to and from the train station every day so that's say 30-40min of walking on a daily basis...

    Tonight I have a "celebratory" dinner with CWs.  I will just be eating salad as punishment for no gym ;)

  • Lbarr- walking DOES count as activity, so no need to punish yourself at dinner!  Enjoy yourself & resolve to do better tomorrow :)

    I did body shape this morning (weightlifting class) and I am doing a little jog over my lunch break since I still have SO MUCH baking & Christmas shopping to do this evening. 

    Keep up the hard work ladies- this is the hardest time of year to stay active & eat right. 
  • I did a 40 minute elliptical cross trainer work out and 20 minutes of hills on the treadmill this morning before work. I don't have enough time to stay more than an hour before I have to leave and get ready for work so I'm going to try and start incorporating some night time/afternoon weight training. I just need to go get some free weights - I don't want to be at the gym twice in 1 day! Today I will be doing a ton of last minute shopping so hopefully I get a lot of walking in!

    lbarr - glad to know im not the only one who has gym phobia!! i always get freaked out of there are too many people there and i have to go around searching for equipment to work on.

    jude - your work outs always sound so intense! i admire your determination and consistency.

  • Cycling last night and will be running a 5k later today... going home for the holidays tomorrow... gonna be tough to stay on the diet and exercise routine.. going to try to be strong!!!
  • Got 60 minutes in on my exercise bike - should be going to the gym tonight but my co-workers and I are getting together after work at a restaurant to have a mini-holiday party. I'm going to try my hardest to just eat a salad instead of junk and to exercise on my bike again when I get home. We'll see how it goes...

  • Today I did Zumba for Kinect for the first time and it kicked my butt. I only did the beginner class which is like 20 minutes. I was sweating and out of breath. I'm going to try to do a workout game or video on the days I don't go to the gym.

  • Last night I ended up not going to the gym.  A lot of stuff went down with FI at work so I just made us dinner and let him vent to me.  Tonight I am going to express spin which is 30 minutes.  I am also going to run a mile before spin.

  • I got in a p90x legs and back workout this morning, and swore I was going to do well with food today! At lunch I walked for 30 min. As far as food goes I think I did better than other days but not stellar. I have had a bit of a sweet tooth lately which kills me :-)
