Snarky Brides

It's a wine type of night

Hey there,

It's quiet around here today.  It's been raining and cold all day so I've found it difficult to get motivated to do anything productive.

I did happen to drop by Belk and pick up a watch I've been eyeing that they had for 40% off today.  I'm excited!
It's quite a bit different from the type of watches I usually go for but I kept thinking about it so I finally bought it.

I'm also about to start on a glass of wine and dinner.  Chili tonight.

What are you all up to?

  • Hello! I like that watch.

I'm not feeling like cooking so I'm headed to my parent's house in while. We're also going to sign some paperwork to put an offer in for a house in our neighborhood. Wheeee!
  • That's awesome about putting in an offer, Erin. How long have you been looking?  I can't wait to start looking but it'll probably be another year or so before we do.

</div><div>Seriously looking? Since Thursday. Sort of looking for a few weeks. We looked at a few houses on Thursday and found one we like. The real estate market here is pretty small because the area is so rural, so when we found something we liked we wanted to just go for it.

  • Wow, it's awesome that you've found something you like so quickly.  Good luck!
  • Evening!

We've got the niece this evening so we just got back from hitting up the new Italian joint and having giant bowls of spaghetti and then seed shopping to get garden ready.  I've got TONS of seeds now.  Now to plan out my seedling starting times.

I gave her a drawing lesson in charcoal theory and she seemed to really like it so we talked about bamboo brushwork too.  Just another attempt to thwart her mother's teachings  ;)   (her mom is an oil painter who thinks it's the only REAL way to do art)

Now we're watching Hook and eating the beef jerky i made yesterday.
  • Evening. Just got back from our run, Brandon's been super awesome about keeping me going and he's been an awesome "trainer". He's so wonderful. I'm making ultimate twice baked potatoes for dinner, and trying to get all our wedding stuff sorted out. Hair trial on Wednesday, and make up trial next Sunday. Weee. Now I really need to get on writing our ceremony and picking out all the music.
  • I'm also drinking wine tonight. Mainly because we need to go to the grocery store.  It was either wine or milk.

  • Im catching up on Mob Wives.

I might head out to see the Vow tonight with my sister, but it all depends on whether her H gets home from work in time to watch the babies.

  • Adam and I are drinking beers and watching tv. We are oddly watching little people big world (havnt watched it in AGES but adam likes it) and waiting for TWD to come on. Then, I dunno. Im hoping to get Adam drunk tonight.
  • Good luck with that, Nebb.  I'm watching Bad Teacher.  It's not very good.  Cameron Diaz has almost no redeeming qualities in it.

It's sleeting.  Boo.  The county schools have already called a preemptive 2 hour delay for tomorrow.  I'm supposed to drive 3 hours towards the mountains for work at 7 tomorrow morning.  It's already snowing up that direction.  I'm not looking forward to that.

ETA: and, like Chirp said, it's been raining all day across the state.  So no pre-treatments on the roads.

We watched that recently and I was surprised how much I liked it, it was pretty funny. I generally dont like Cameron Diaz, her face bothers me.
  • I thought Bad Teacher was hilarious.

How can this be? There are SO many types of art. My father always drew in pencils and charcoals.

I have been cleaning all day, H has been doing the taxes. I'm so upset, H left a pen in his pocket and most likely  ruined 2 of my shirts and his good khakis.

  • I feel like it skips around a bit too much.  I did crack up during the dry humping scene.

  • lol Justin Timberlakes hair on SNL lastnight was killing me. He looks hot even with a receding hairline.
  • Are you taking about the Beyonce's baby skit?  I loved Fred Armiston (sp?) as Prince lurking in the background.

  • KD, I've had some luck removing ink from clothes by soaking the ink in rubbing alcohol.

Pens in pockets through the laundry is a problem I've had often.  H even sleeps with a pen in his pocket.  They're everywhere around here.  But, if I can just get him to get the chapstick out of his pockets before dropping his pants in the laundry basket then I'm happy.
  • lol that skit was funny but the best was the Obama show skit. The part with hilary clinton had me in tears. I was crying throughout that entire skit I was laughing so hard.
  • I also got a great deal on pants at NY & Company today.  If any of you like that store, all their pants and jeans are buy 1 get 1 free.

  • I'm too short to have pants from most places fit me.  It sucks.

Nebb, I only saw parts.  I'll have to look up that skit.  I saw a picture of Bill and Hilary Clinton back in the 70s.  It was pretty hilarious; it makes you see how they could be young and in love back in the day.

  • And now we have snow!  Emma's loving this, she's never seen snow before.  It's like we covered her world with tiny ice cubes, she loves it!

  • Dogs and snow is hilarious.
  • I hope we get enough that she'll get a chance to see it for real.  I can't believe I just said that.

This is a terrible cell phone pic, but this is my dad's dog after playing (rolling) in the snow at his house earlier.

  • NYC does have cute clothes.  My sister really likes their pants too, and she's short.  I think it's because I still have a little girl's body.  I need new work pants, but I'm struggling with finding stuff that fits.  Then again, I've given up on a few places that maybe I should give another try since it's been a few years.

Anyone else watching the new season of Celebrity Apprentice, or am I the only one addicted to reallity competition shows?
