Budget Honeymoon

hey everyone...
does anyone have any ideas for a budget honeymoon. right now i am booked at sandals st. lucia and the balance remaining is about 2800. The only reason i am booked already is because i was having a destination wedding and it was going to be there so it only made sense to just transfer our deposit over to our honeymoon. now it's seeming like that's A LOT of money and i would like to try to find accommodations for significant less. altho sandals is all-inclusive.
i don't know. i am kind of stuck. 
i have been thinking about napa valley, vancouver island, and nantucket. 
if anyone has any ideas...pllleeeaassseee help me out.

    You can do a cruise for less.  I love Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, but they are expensive during high season. 

    When is the date?  What are you interested in?  That will help others make suggestions.

    Are you still having the destination wedding in St Lucia?  If so then I would suggest either picking another resort in St Lucia or find an island close by with low cost inter-island flights.

    New Orleans is really cheap.  FI and I looked into it.  We looked on Expedia, and for flights and accomadations for a week, it was around $700 a piece for some really nice places.  We were going to go until FI decided we should splurge, since we probably won't get a chance to go on vacation for a really long time.

    can you get a refund for what you've already put as a deposit?
    depending on when you plan on going the other 3 places you list can be far more than 2800.
