  I saw this suite a few weeks ago, and depending on the number of people you have getting ready, it should be big enough. The bathroom upstairs was long and narrow...I remember telling my mom I thought the bathroom was big. The bedroom area itself, also upstairs (it's basically a loft set up) does not have much extra room other than the bed and the dresser. But you have the downstairs too. You might try to contact the wedding/event coordinator there, Alyssa, for more specifics. She is very kind and helpful.

  The townhouse suite at the Bourbon Orleans is 2 floors and should be enough space depending on how many people will be in the room.  If there will be 7 or fewer I think you should be fine.  The only thing to keep in mind is that the bed is on the upper floor and takes up all the space up there with only about 2 feet of space around the bed, so you shouldn't count on that area for extra space.  the only space to get ready is the bottom "living room" floor.  I say this in comparison to the 1 bedroom suite at the Chateau Bourbon where there is very ample extra space in the "living room" area but also lots of extra space (because it s a separate hotel room all to itself) in the bedroom area.  It also has a 2nd bathroom.
  
  I have 7 BM so space is a concern, but if there wont be more than that, I think you'll fit in the Townhouse Suite fine.
  
  the Petit Suite at the Chateau Bourbon is like one very large hotel room, with no separation between the bedroom and livingroom area.  Our group could never fi t there comfortable but your group might, depending on the size.
  
  Another option, that might be a little less glamorous but certainly cost-efficient, is the ready-room at the Whitney Whyndham.  They have a small conference room that they quoted me at $125 for the use off pre-wedding.  It's not a bedroom, just a large rectangular conference space where they will set up chairs and tables for you, and it comes with a dedicated bathroom across the hall.  It's windowless, but spacious.
  
  Lastly, the Royal Sonesta has a 2-story suite that I haven't visited but I've heard it's spacious, and the Richelieu has a suite with a 4-poster bed that opens onto its own  balcony.  A bit farther but the hotel is so charming.
  
  Yep, I spent a day just visiting hotels last time I was in town :-)

  Thanks.  As I said in OP, I should have done this sooner but I kept thinking I would have to time to go in person and check things out and my last two trips to NOLA were too short and too packed with other things.  My daughter has 6 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls  who will be 3 and 5 and 1 ring bearer age 7.  Their mother is not a BM.  It's beginning to sound crowded already.  
  
  Did either of you see the King's Suite (or maybe salon) at the Bienville?

  I have not been to the Bienville at all, sorry. The Bourbon Orleans also has a presidential suite but I didn't get a look at it. With hair and makeup people, you might get crowded in the townhouse suite but maybe not, if the BMs are showing up already dressed. Have you tried Iberville suites? If there are no suites left at the chateau bourbon then maybe try for 2 adjoining rooms as their regular rooms are really quite spacious.

  I haven't seen Bienville either (I will on my next trip before I decide on my room blocks).  I agree with bezlu that the townhouse suite might be a bit crowded for that many people getting ready all at once.  That was the only suite I saw there...sorry I can't be more help!

  I've been considering the idea of two rooms side by side.  It would give us 2 bathrooms which might be nice.  All the reasonably priced large suites seem to be booked.  There was a huge and very expensive 2 bedroom suite at the Royal Sonesta but  it's way out of budget.  I'll ask my daughter which she prefers.  The idea of the suite, especially one with a balcony overlooking Bourbon just seems nice but may not be the most practical.  Thanks again

  If I had to choose between that townhouse suite and 2 adjoining rooms, I'd go with the 2 rooms.
