  I think that anyone who says not to go to Riveria Maya b/c of violence in MX, is completely ignorant. It's like telling someone not to go to Iowa because there was a shooting in NYC.
  
  That being said, we HMed at Secrets Maroma Beach in October and felt safe the entire time.

  We booked EPM for our hm. I've had a few people tell us to be careful or that they wish we were going somewhere else. (yeah Hawaii would have been great but we couldn't afford it).

  We just book our honeymoon there two weeks ago. I don't care what anyone says, I'm having my sunshiney honeymoon. I think as long as you don't wander too far away from the resort and stay smart then you'll be fine.

  I'm with you ladies, I wouldn't mind going but our families are like that too. There like  it's too much going on in Mexico. My FI do not want to go to Mexico, although I have discussed with him that these violence activities aren't taking place where I would like for us to go. So it's basically on to the next place for our honeymoon and what's sad is I work at a travel agency in Houston.... Vacations To Go, I'm sure some people have heard of them. It would be nice if they would just pay for my honeymoon...  We are one of the top travel agencies in the world.....LOL Only wishes
