  our florist went off of our head count....we r inviting 150...should get bw 130/140.....based on that we are anticipating around 15 tables....i bought a couple extra jars for her tho!

  148 invited | 105 Yes! | 8 No |33 still ?

  We have a minimum required at our venue for 175 so we are planning on one to two extra centerpieces to be sure. (so around 19)  I don't have to give the florist the final count for tables til two weeks before the wedding I believe.

  We have 24 mason jars that we're using as vases. We're going to have our florist fill up all 24 and we can place the extras around the reception (guest book table, bar, gift table, etc.

  Our centerpieces are being done totally by our florist and she just needs a count 2 weeks before the wedding (as does our venue so...no worries there). We're doing our own table numbers, though. I think we're planning on making enough for who we *think* will be coming and then getting ready to scramble if we need to get more. If you have to buy in advance, though, I'd do enough to cover if everyone comes (that's what we'll probably do with favors). You don't want to end up not having enough to go around.

  This is similar to what we're doing: assorted candles on the tables. So I plan to buy a bunch sometime soon (got to get on that!), different sizes, etc, and if I need to get a few more right before the wedding it shouldn't be a problem. We have a pretty good idea of who will be coming though (small wedding), so I'm not worried at all.

  I would buy the most that you will need if you are DIY. I would be afraid if I waited until last minute I would not have enough supplies to make everything. You could make up to 80% of the centerpieces ahead of time, and only leave the rest until you know the total number of tables you will have. Or just make them all at once and you can always set them at the head table or bar area or something!
