You may remember that I posted last Thurs that the hotel with our bridal suite, parents' rooms, and some guest rooms called last week to say that our reservations had been canceled because they overbooked the hotel. We had paid in full for all of the rooms 6 months ago and I was beyond pissed!
Well...the good news is that we got our rooms back. The bad news is, my mom has been calling to speak to the general manager (to basically tell him that his hotel sucks and to have him 110% guarentee that we will have the rooms that we booked) since Friday and no one is returning her calls. I had planned to stop there when I was home this weekend, but honestly there was just too much going on and we didn't have time to stop. I swear if this manager doesn't call her back today I'm going to be even more pissed than I already am!
I told my DOC about what's going on and she thinks it's ridiculous and said that she would step in if they keep giving us a hard time. Then, I talked to my venue on Fri because I had a few questions for them and the banquet manager said "I hear your having hotel problems". I said yes, but how did you know? He said that the DOC coordinator told him. I laughed and said that you guys must talk about all of us brides too much LOL! He also said that this hotel is nuts and to let him know if we have any further problems and that he would try to help us out too. I'm glad everyone else realizes how ridiculous this hotel has been and I hope that they warn any future brides not to use them!
