Rhode Island

Ceremony Site & Chair Covers

Hi There!
This is my first time here and I was wondering if any one could help me out.  I live in Rhode Island and was wondering if anyone knows of a location where I can have my ceremony.  My fiance is divorced so we cannot get married in a church and the locations we have looked at want us to have both, the ceremony and reception, at the site.  However, my parents are paying for the reception and have already picked a site for the reception. (they do not have ceremonies at this site).  So if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
Now back to the reception site......it is a beautiful, big hall but unfortunately their banquet chairs are blue.  I don't want to have to have a blue wedding so the hall matches.  I was hoping for a more spring color not royal blue.  So my idea is to have chair covers and as I look around at them, I am having a heart attack at what it would cost us.  So do I stay with the blue chairs or does anyone know where I can find a good price on the chair covers?
Thanks for your advice in advance!
Suzy

Where is your reception site? That might be helpful so we can suggest nearby places.

You are allowed to have ceremonies on some beaches, like naragansett, and in some state/town parks, fort adams in Newport and beavertail in Jamestown for example.  Also, I think you can have it by the lighthouse near the hyatt in newport... good luck

Sorry I haven't replied earlier, but I have been so sick.

Ok...thanks for the ideas ladies.  It have looked at parks but it is so hard to vision it when there is snow on the ground.

Also...my reception is at Lusitana Club in Cumberland.
