Ginger Babies Catering in York was REALLY reasonable. The woman you'll coordinate with also suggested a bunch of ways we could save money and ways to cut their costs.

I've also heard good things about Rettew's Catering in the Lancaster area and Hess' BBQ (I was told they did more than just BBQ/picnic food).

I've always loved Southern Country Catering. They've got a variety of options from $8.50/person to $50/ person. Also, you can go to their venue or they'll come to you.

Quisine 360!  Marty Qually is a top notch caterer who has recently gone into business for himself and his prices are more than reasonable.  I narrowed my search down to him and Artistic Foods and not only was Marty's food better, it was also more affordable.  Email me at kathleen.maeve@gmail.com if you want more info!

I would suggest talking with Festive Board in the Queensgate shopping center. Has one of the best deals I have heard of. They provide the lines, napkins, bartenders, cake, drink (except alcohol), the set up, dinner service, and clean up. They will even set-up your flowers and favors if you leave them at the venue. Excellent food, very professional, bake their own pastries and bread as well as cure their own deli meat. They are able to do any type of menu. Provides extremely great advice for what to add to your menu. If you book before the end of March your get %15 off your price. We are doing a sandwich buffest with a seated salad, open bar, linens, three tiered cake, five different salads, and a variety of cheeses, vegis and fruits for cocktail hour for on 2500 dollars for 100 people.

I'm looking into using SEI catering in Lancaster. I've heard a lot of good things, and they have really great prices too. Definitely worth checking out

Might want to check out Uncommon Caterers.  Linda is a total sweetheart and her items are made fresh, nothing frozen out of a box.  Her menu's are on facebook and prices seem reasonable.

Just a word of caution about Southern County Catering: if you decide to book with them, make sure you ask how many other events they have on your wedding day.

My bff used them for her wedding and it was a complete disaster! They over-booked themselves and were completely unprepared. When the bridal party got the reception, the only thing to drink was water because they didn't bring any of the sodas or mixers for alcoholic drinks.  The food was either overcooked or undercooked and they placed dinner food out as appetizers because they forgot to bring the appetizers.

Luckily, they realized that they really screwed up and my friend got over 50% of her money back.  It was a shame because my parents went to a wedding they catered a year before that and they said the food was amazing.

I am using SEI as well.  I had my tasting last week.  My FI said it was the better than any wedding food he has ever had and I agree.  They are about $15+ per person AND they have kids pricing.  They also let you keep the leftovers (I'm not sure what I'm going to do with leftovers when I'm supposed to be leaving for my honeymoon right away but it is a very nice service).  Millersville University also does catering and venue.  The photos I saw were actually very classy.

We are still deciding ona  Caterer as well. We recently met with Carrie Jean's catering in Lancaster. She just recently started her own company, but has been working in the catering business for a while. We are going for a tasting next week and then will make a decision based on that. Her prices are great though-they start at 8.95 a person for the meal! If you would like her contact info just let me know!
