Wedding Colour help

Hello, my fiance and I are getting married on 10/10/10 in Michicot, WI (about 1/2 hour from Green Bay). Our biggest problem right now is colour scheme, we initially had this idea to incorporate a very deep red (almost a burgundy) and very deep purple (plumish) and gold, the gold basically to tie everything together and make it a pretty fall wedding. Red came from our favors which are homemade applesauce and purple from our toast (neither of us drink so we are planning to use grape juice). The problem however is that neither of us really have an eye for colour, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would these (in your opinion) work together nicely? Should we drop one of the colours? Deep purple is also my favourite colour, so it has double meaning, and initially I wanted to pair it with silver.... but this is more a winter looking combo. As I said before any opinions and advice are welcome, Thank you!

I think those colors will look nice together for a fall wedding. If you are having trouble thinking of how they will work together, go to the paint store and get swatches of the colors you want.

Fall/Winter are interchangable unless something is elementary fall color (orange and brown) or winter color (blue and white).  Sometimes I need a "Garanimals" tag to macth, but it seems ok.

My FI and I decided on a theme around the flower of our season which told us exactly the color scheme.  In fact, we don't say what our colors are, we tell people what "our flower/theme" is.
If you love one of the colors, stick to at least that and go from there. (the deep purple sounds pretty for October.)

Good luck and enjoy your planning.
    Anniversary
