Addressing your invites?

Hi everyone! Sorry if this has already been asked but how did you address your invites? Did you use a calligrapher? Or DIY calligraphy? Labels or handwritten? I need to start addressing mine this week so I can get them in the mail in the next few weeks but don't know which way to go.

( I have no experience doing calligraphy, but I do have pretty neat handwriting.)

Thanks!

Re: Addressing your invites?

  • I printed mine on clear labels and they turned out great.
  • I printed mine directly from the computer onto the envelope. They turned out really pretty. I just downloaded a free calligraphy style font and printed away.

  • I got this really cute font and printed them right onto the envelope. They look great. I just didn't have time to write out 200+ invites

  • I tried to just put the envelopes through my printer but they were to thick so I had a calligrapher address them for me
  • We printed directly onto the envelopes. I thought they looked really nice

  • I haven't done mine yet but I plan to use clear labels. If I had nice penmanship I would just write it but mine's awful.

  • We hired a company to do our invites for us and they printed addresses directly onto the icing that wrapped around the envelopes (our envelopes were black).

  • I wrote them all in myself- It was a good idea at first, but not only was it tiring, but unless you have extra envelopes, you can find yourself in a pickle.

For instance (and for those of you who remember), one of my married BMs was going to go through with a divorce, then she changed her mind, so I ended up using 3 envelopes on her :/

  • My handwriting is beyond horrible... I got circular grey labels to match the polka dots that were on the invitations.  Then printed on those in a cool handwriting font.   They looked fantastic!  Felt super lazy though seeing as I only had 15 to send out - but they looked so much better than if I would have wrote them out.

  • I'm handwriting mine, not too bad, just make sure to take breaks every half hour or so. Plus, I get out of watching the FI play Skyrim. :P
