Good morning ladies!

Re: Good morning ladies!

  • Good morning ladies! I'm trying to get the motivation up to study. I know once the Twins game starts I'm not going to want to anything but watch that.

We have a queen bed but I wouldn't mind a king. J likes to stretch out his body in crazy ways and take up a lot of room.

  • H actually fell asleep on the couch last night.  I went up to bed around 11 and he said he was going to be up soon.  I woke up when he got into bed at like 4:30, but I had slept great before that.

Stewie used to sleep in the bed with us all the time, and it was awful with the 2 of them.  I would always wake up with 4 inches of room and wake them both up to move over.  Now Stewie though has developed a love for sleeping in his crate at night, so it's really rare that he ever jumps in the bed at night.

  • KJB - do it.. then you could have hte bed all to yourself :).
  • i'm 99% sure Beefy would follow me.  I can't be out of his sight if I'm home.  He's a momma's boy.

  • We have a no dog in the bed policy, but once in a while H says she comes up in the middle of the night when I'm working 3rd and he doesn't realize until he wakes up in the morning.
  • DH and I are not ones to cuddle. We last about 5 minutes tops, then we both turn our backs to one another.   It's like clock work. DH does this flip thing, turning his back towards me (and the TV). Then like 30 seconds later he is snoring.  I normally stay up a little longer watching TV and then I turn my back and fall sleep.

DH does the flip thing on the couch if he wants to take a nap.  It's really funny.  If you see him flip, that means he will be asleep a minute later.

I'm sure someone could do a psychological analysis  with the way we sleep together.  But it works for us.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • We sleep with our backs to each other too when we finally go to sleep.  I think from some comments I've seen on here that's actually kind of common.
  • Honestly I prefer Stewie sleeping in his crate since he snores REALLY loud, and he has a tendency to just sack out in the dead center of the bed, leaving us stuck to certain spots.  We always have left it up to him though where he sleeps, and we just leave the door to his crate open.  When H was gone though I wanted him to sleep in the bed with me, and he just never wanted to.

Oh, and Stewie has definitely become a momma's boy since H was gone, and H hates it!  Stewie was his dog, and he had him before we met, so Stewie always kinda favored him.  Now it's switched, and H is not liking it!

  • we are not cuddlers at all either lynda.  i can't sleep like that.

  • We both hate being touched while we sleep.  Especially DH.  He gets annoyed if I even accidentally touch his feet.

  • i just get really hot and i think it's uncomfortable.  most times i'm in bed before H even gets home from work, so he usually just comes to bed whenever.  i don't even hear him.

  • I always thought I'd be a cuddly sleeper. But I'm definitely not. I'll cuddle on the couch till the cows come home, but I need to be on my side sleeping, and Fi sleeps on his stomach, so cuddling is a big no.

And dnb, we sound just like you and your H- I stick to one side of the bed, and everytime I wake up, i have no covers and FI has kicked me to the very edge of the bed.

We bough a new mattress in August. Fi wanted a king. I said we didn't need it.

    ... Big regret....
  • I like cuddilng on the couch or when we first get in bed and are watching TV, but once we fall asleep I'm pretty content on my own side sleeping how I want.  The problem seems to be that H will come to my side to spoon me watching TV, and then fall asleep on my side and just kinda stay there.  Last night, well technically this morning, I really contemplated getting out and getting back in on his side since he was clearly on mine.

    <div>You say that like it's a bad thing. :)</div>
  • Good morning everyone!

We're cuddlers.  And we have a no dogs on the bed rule.  But H would like a bigger bed for those nights when it's super hot or when one of us can't sleep and is tossing and turning (we both have insomnia, but his is much worse).

I'm dying of allergies right now.  Darn spring pollen.

  • I guess there's nothing wrong with boob cut-outs if that's the look you're going for. :)

It's not spring in Cleveland yet.  It's supposed to maybe snow on Tuesday.  I am sad about this.
  • Haha I definitely thought it was boob cut outs too!

  • mica - my allergies are killing me, too. Damn pine pollen. I hate it and there is a whole bunch of other stuff blooming right now, too. I took some Zyrtec with breakfast.

<div>Okay, good to know.  My first thought was boob cut outs, my second thought was Madonna cone-bra... neither was pretty, but I suppose it is an 80's party LOL.</div>
  • Loopy - I knew Columbus had snow last week. I really don't want to see snow when we come home this weekend. I hate packing for the trip home b/c I never know what to bring.
  • Don't worry Missy - it's supposed to be in the 50's I think the rest of the week (including tomorrow/Monday) but cold + possible snow on Tuesday.  ARGH!
  • jumping in late, but wanted to say good morning (well technically good afternoon for me)!  i'm here suffering from some allergies and doing some paperwork still. bah humbug! at least there's TK to distract me :)
