First Quote and Dress fun!

SO HI! I feel like i've been gone a while but its been a week...

Today I got my first quote back for Jamacia and I know were coming from Canada but this seems high for the low season:
So the best priced hotels are Sunset Jamaica at 1728 for double occupancy, and Riu Ocho Rios at 1808pp for double occupancy. Both are leaving Jan 15 2014.

Seems really high! What do you think?



oh and a side note: my MOH and I are having too much fun trying dresses on because im not liking anything so I decided to do my best model poses. This was entirely for the laughs and i dont know why its sideways.

    How many days is it?  We went last year to Sandals Whitehouse and spent about $3,200 for a week with airfare is that helps you any.

    ETA:  Remember that low season in Jamaica is from mid April to mis December so January is actually during high season.

    I know that when we were looking at Jamaica we were a little over a year out and the rates were pretty high. My TA said that they would likely go down with specials, etc, but because it was so far in advance it was going to take awhile for them to drop. Maybe you can see if your TA thinks they will go down at all.

    That is extremely high in my opinion, especially if it is just a regular room. We were at Riu Negril a few years ago and spent about $1100 per person including air for 7 days 6 nights in May.

    How many people are going? See if they can offer a group discount or see if they have any promotions going on. I just got married at Dreams Punta Cana and their special was book 5 rooms and get the 6th free. We used this to cut down on the overall cost for everyone. And on top of that each room got a $200 resort credit for the spa, romantic dinners, the casino, etc.

    So that was for 1 week and includes airfair! NOW I WANNA BOOK! lol

    I thought i had asked for wekend airfair but all in for a week for 50 people probably brought the price WAY down!

    My cousin is doing riu ocho rios for a week and it's $1609 per person for one week, direct from toronto April 6th to 13 I think. Hope it helps!
