im gonna be a Groomsmaid..... wdyt?

my best friend from highschool is marrying his bride this summer. me and my fi are also getting married this fall.
from the beginning of our engagement i thought of having my bff in my WP as a Bridesman. havent officially asked him yet because my Fi doesnt love the idea

he asked me to stand up for him as a groomsmaid.  

so now i need to convince my Fi that is not crazy to have him stand for me as a Bridesman. i think it will be fun, and cute and wonderful since im gonna be in his wedding too.

so who thinks its silly? normal? fun? odd? crazy? good idea? bad idea?

    My FI is most likely going to have a groomsmaid, we're planning on having her wear the same BM dress in gray because the GM are going to be wearing gray.

    Sounds fine by me.The people who stand up for you are the people you choose to stand up for you, gender aside.

    My brother's standing on my side, and FI's very good female friend is standing on his.  I don't think it's weird at all.

    Hopefully my response doesn't get teleported to Snarky Brides this time...

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    i think it puts a fun twist on things...
    if and when my boyfriend and i get married i will be asking 3 of my brothers to stand up for me since my boyfriend has A LOT of guy friends that will be on his side. i would probably only ask 2 of my GOOD/CLOSE female friends to stand up for me.
