city hall?

Anyone get married at Boston City Hall?  I have checked their website and not gotten all the answers I need.  (Phone calls end up being on hold forever.)   I know how to apply for the license and how much it costs, wait period, etc...  What the website does not say is whether they actually perform the ceremonies there, if they have their own JP and how much they are.  Any info?  Did you like it?  Our plans for our big day in January have changed dramatically due to a family situation - I think this is the best route to go (and ironically, it's the idea my fiance and I had in the first place.)

I know that they do perform the ceremonies at city hall.  I do not know the exact process.  A long time ago I attended a wedding at city hall and it was in the office of one of the judges.  Recently when I was applying for my marriage license two people had just come down from having their ceremony and the Judge or Justice of the Peace was with them.  If you can maybe you can just go to cityhall and ask one of the clerks.
All Justice of the Peace pretty much charge the same amount(this is regulated my Massachusetts), I don't think any of them can charge more then 175 depending on travel charges.

Usually in City Hall it's the City or Town Clerk that will perform the ceremony. When you go in for your license you usually set up a time with a the City Clerk and then at least 3 days later is your ceremony. I'm not sure about Bston because it's so large, but this is pretty much standard across all city halls in MA.
