Cake Questions!

I want a 3 SQUARE layered cake but according to the bakers I've contacted, that amount of cake will feed 100 people and I only have 50!

So I have a few questions for past brides:

a) How many layers (square or round) of cake did you order?
b) What sizes were each layers? ie. 6 inch, 8 inch, etc.
b) How many guests did you have?
c) How much cake was left over? (Or, did you wish you ordered more?)

We're getting married on a Sat. and staying til the Thursday after so there is always the possibility of us boxing up any leftovers and indulging in them later Laughing hehe

TIA!

We are ordering a small round 3 tier from cake designs and they said it will feed 75.  It's 10x8x6.  I'm guessing there will be leftovers.

I ordered a small cake with 2 tiers from Gimme Some Sugar and they have been very accomodating. I think the bakery should do it the way you want it. So keep looking for the right bakery.
