this bothers me...

at the top of the NEY page:

"You've planned your flowers, found a gown...but no ring (yet)? Welcome to NEY."

has anyone else noticed this? it's been bugging me for a couple days now as i just noticed it.

i feel like TK shouldn't be encouraging this type of behaviour. but i'm sure it's good business for the wedding industry.

    TK doesn't care - like you said it's good for business.  *shrug* I just ignore it because it makes me loopy.

    maybe it's the irony of that being at the top of the page, while it's the complete opposite attitude of the board.
    no wonder we see so many girls just wanting justification for pre-engagement wedding planning on here, if that's one of the first things they read.

    My favorite part is that it has Jeana's picture next to it (since she's the mod), so it appears as if she actually wrote that and fully endorses it, which is far from accurate.

    Just engaged has a blue background with stars... yuck.  The only thing worse would be puppies... or rainbows.

    It doesn't really bother me, because I actually haven't done that stuff yet.  I know that I'm about to be engaged (within the next month or so), because my boyfriend and I picked out the ring together, and I know that he already bought it.  I'm getting super excited and have started posting here and looking at some things casually, but I certainly don't have any definite wedding plans yet!

    I haven't planned the flowers, but I have found a dress I want to try on when I do finally get engaged. So I guess I'm only semi-insane?

    I do, however, know that my wedding colors will be cobalt and silver. But that's because I'm getting wedding goblets of that coloring with the money my mom's best friend gave me as a birthday present. She passed away last week and it was really important to me that I buy something with the money that will always have an important place in my heart and not get discarded through the years. In one of their last conversations she told my mom was that she knew BF and I were going to make it and I'm glad I'll be able to have a piece of her at a future headtable.

    But that's as far as I'm going with the wedding planning. If it hadn't been for her passing I wouldn't even of gone that far..
