Father-Daugther Dance Song?

Have any of you picked a father-daugther dance song yet? I'm looking for some ideas! I'm not a huge country person and neither is my dad, but I'd be willing to consider a country song. My dad's more into classic rock sort of stuff so that would be a better fit. FI's been trying to help, but we're stuck!

We're not into country either but it seems that country music has the best songs for father daughter dance songs. We're going with Heartland's I loved her first. Listen to it and see if you like it. Let me know what you think.

I absolutely love that song, I cry every time I hear it b/c I think of my dad and I. BUT, I love a new song that just came out by my favorite country singer, Trace Adkins, which fits my dad and I to a "T".

Just fishin' for me too!! Dad has been taking me fishing since I was 6 and we went on a trip just the two of us every year for 8 years. Best memories of my life.

"Gracie" by Ben Folds. When I was at my dad's house for Easter, I sent him the MP3. He listened to it, and immediately went on Facebook to share it and tell the FB world how much of a mess he was going to be dancing with me to it.

Well this is something I haven't thought of since I don't get to do it. If he was here and walking me down the aisle it would have been to I loved her first. When that song came out I knew it would be perfect for that one day and now I have no idea what I'll use there either. I'm having a dance with my mom instead though. To I hope you dance by Leann Womack. It's her song for me she calls the radio station and has it played every year on my birthday.

I would kind of love to use Simon and Garfunkel's "59th St. Bridge Song Feelin' Groovy" because my dad always used to sing it to me when I was little. But I'm worried that it's a little too fast to dance to comfortably. I've asked him for suggestions and he got too choked up to come up with any, LOL...

My dad and I are between a few and he gets all misty eyed every time we talk about it (he never does that, so then I start crying) We don't want the song to be sappy, we both HATE country (not to offend anyone) and he's very classic rock dude but he's also liking some new rock too, almost indie, kinda weird to me but its cool. anyway

We're dancing to "all you need is love" by the Beatles. My Dad is a Beatles nut and he and I used to listen to them all the time when he was teaching me to drive, so it had to be a Beatles song!

I can't wait for the father daughter dance. I am such a daddies girl and I picked a song that is very special to both of us.

We are dancing to Glenn Miller's Moonlight Serenade. I choose it because he got me into jazz music. I remember when I was very young and we would watch The Glenn Miller story and we would get so excited when they played Moonlight Serenade.

We're dancing to What a Wonderful World- My kindergarten class sang it at my promotion with sign language all those years ago and Dad always gets chocked up when he hears it on the radio- I am going to bawl- I'm almost crying just writing about it...I cannot wait
