The majority of people I know don't swear and a lot of them are older than me. The people I hang around daily do not swear unless there is something really big to swear about. All my friends know that if I actually DO use the F word, I am at my most upset. I see no use for profain words except in absolutely extreme situations.

Depending on the hole. A 2x2m test unit, then yes. A tiny bucket auger...there was one time where a gal I worked with dropped our boss's fancy, expensive tape measure in a 2 m deep auger hole...we started out in a 60 cm wide 60 cm deep shovel test and continued on down to 2 m with a bucket auger. She was so worried about having dropped it that we did all we could to get it out. At one point we both held the other to reach down with our arms or legs. It was an interesting day. But in the end thanks to one of us using a fallen branch to pull the tape measure up as far as we could before it would drop and the other reaching down with her bare foot to grab it, we got it!

I did not! I did the same thing with Paul Bettany in the Da Vinci code. I spent that entire movie trying to figure out if that was him. Its not that abnormal to not swear. I babysit for my sister's friends a lot and they do not swear at all. (The friends, I mean.) Thinking about it I just can't recall them ever saying anything like that. For that matter, in their families and my sister's family we don't even say Butt...we say bottom. Part of it is all of the toddlers running around. I do have plenty of friends on the other end of the spectrum that swear like sailors once in a while, but even they don't do it all the time. Around me they don't swear a lot at all. Once in a great while a buddy of mine will sit next to me and start listing off all the bad words he can think of just to poke fun at me.

Did I seriously just sit through 4 pages of you (OP) trying to be super sweet about all of the blasting going your way, only to get to the end of the thread and STILL NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIRST GROOM?!! If you are going to make people sit through this, at least give them something fun to read! Your story about the wedding? I live in PA, come here, we have them like that at our local parks every weekend.
