I wish Netflix Canada didn't suck so much. I would love to get it just for the TV shows.
Pixie, I went to NY with a friend a few years ago and loved it. I am trying to convince H that we should go there for vacation but he has the idea of what he thinks it'll be like in his head and he's not sold on going :(.  Congrats Loopy!
Posted by reils
Haha that's like my brother. He's convinced NY is one big Times Square and is so not interested. There is so much more to NYC than Times Square! I try to take pretty nature pictures and send them to him to get him down here.

• Hello!

Fi and I just got back from a wine tasting and dinner at a new Thai place. It's not actually new but it's the first time we've been there. Fantastic pad thai. And apparently it's BYOB. Which we didn't know but we'll definitely try it again, bring our own beer/wine and split a meal and it will be a cheap, good date.

Blue--yay! Sending good thoughts your way

Drunk Sesh is hilarious and is making me want to drink.

<div>H hates crowds, even just at shopping malls. He thinks that it's going to be really crowded with people everywhere. I don't think it's like that though. I am not a big fan of crownds either and I don't remember it being busy or crowded at all. </div>

Yeah I mean it's definitely more crowded than a lot of other places but it totally depends on where you go in the city. Where we live Uptown is much more residential and less crowded (and lots of dogs!) but midtown (where I work) and Times Square can get nuts. You can avoid it though and there's lots to do away from the crowds. Central Park is its own quiet awesome world. My Dad hates crowds too and has successfully visted twice.

If you do decide to make a trip here let me know! I can help plan a non-crowded trip :-)

This is one of my favorite spots, H and I go walking here most mornings. It's the resevoir in Central Park.

• Hey guys. Just got my new bathing suit, and while the bottom fits perfectly, the top is a liiiittle too tight. I think I need to lose about ten pounds. Sigh. I wish didn't like food so much.
• Daff, that sounds like an awesome day! Enjoy!

I'm watching the episode of Friends where Ross gets stuck in his pants.  Gets me every time. Hilarious.
• Daff- I just looked at your bio for the first time. Your wedding was beautiful.

Truth. It looks like a fairytale

ETA: I also just teared up at the part about your Mom. It's beautiful that you could feel her there.

• Thanks guys :).
Les - H is totally bummed cause he was hoping to do some hiking before I got too far along but my doctor said I can go to higher altitudes (my brother and SIL live above 9000 ft.), but I have to loaf around and drink a lot of water while I'm there.  Next summer.. we'll put the baby in a backpack and hit the trail LOL.

Any dubbed it the "Fruit Loop" which I thought was hysterical :).

And you're right - it is a regular old fruit salad around here these days.  Makes me happy.

• We need to name these babies.
Dmill's is Rambo
Loopy's is Fruit Loop

What about the others?
• I'm way late but here I go:

Sesh KUI is terribly funny.

I ditto most of Celtic's posts - including, but not limited too: logging in to see how Blue is doing and wanted to junk punch my husband for a totally silly reason.

Blue, I'll be sending good thoughts East that your numbers double and those little Lisa Frank babies are growing strong.

Anna, do you want a fresh or roasted salsa?

Chels, have a great time tomorrow night!

<div>The fresher the better.  i'd love another recipe that can go from picking the fruit to eating in less than 20 minutes.</div>

Ok, well I do pretty much what it sounds like you do...

tomatoes
onion
jalapeno (to taste)
garlic
cilantro
lime juice
kosher salt

The one thing I have figured out is to save at least 1/2 a tomato to blend up (food processor) with the cilantro, garlic and jalapeno and dice up the rest to the size you like.  I also always add the onion last and never put it in a food processor.
