  • I can give most reception-y things to our caterer a week out so I'm TOTALLY doing that.  We're also going to store the marraige license at the church the day before.

Ooo! Something I thought of! Bring a stamped envelope to make sure you can mail the marraige license in once the 'deed' is done.

Right now my list goes something like this:

    Dress
    Veil
Steamer (mostly for my veil- it's a travel sized one. the steamer that is.  veil is cathedral.)
    Shoes
Accessories for le dress including designated bra/undies
Button Down Shirt (for getting my hair did)
Nice Robe (so I'm not nakey in my getting ready pics)
    Toiletries
    Makeup
Jeans, Sundress, Comfy shorts (want to be prepared for all eventualities
    My little camera
    Cellphone/Charger
    Cash/Wallet
Wedding binder with all contracts, contact #'s and timelines incl extra copies of EVERYTHING: ie must shoot photos, seating chart in case it gets lost, timeline, etc.
Toothbrush, Spare Toothbrush and extra mouthwash/floss (Clean teeth are essential!!)
Thank you notes (I just seem to write a LOT).
    Flip Flops
My emergency bridesmaid kit  that I've souped up- (includes sewing kit, chalk, stain removers, safety pins, bobby pins, clear hair ties, antacids, pain relievers, tummy remedies, saltines,  about 3 feet of duct tape wound onto a wine cork for portability, super glue, nail file, etc. in my basic and I will ad to it I'm sure.)  It's been used and lent out many times.
    To Be Continued

Delegation stuff:  Best man has the tips, Groom has the rings, FFIL has lots of organizational stuff and the spreadsheets to go with who's in the formal pics so it moves along (taking advantage of his engineer's obsesively orderly and logical mind.) Gift to groom is pre-left in our apartment where groom gets ready, gifts to BP will be given at RD.  Everything else will be already handed off prior to that.
