TGIT

Two more work days left...

I don't even think I'm going to make it through this one.  I'm exhausted and feeling crummy.  Boo.

I get to leave at 4:00 to take my car to the dealership so at least I'll be out of here an hour early.

Re: TGIT

  • I am so tired today, it's ridiculous.  My computer is running so slow so I keep closing my eyes inbetween screens switching.  I'd love to just close my office door and sleep for an hour or so.  It doesn't help that it's perfectly cool and rainy here today - prime sleeping weather.

    But anyhow.  Good morning!
  • Good Morning

Kind of an overcast day and it keeps trying to drizzle.  Today is the first day of the big boat show so there is much people watching to be done!

I'm right there with you all and being tired.  I was up from 5:30-7:30 and then slept until 11:00.  I am all sorts of messed up now :-(

  • Good morning!

I have work and class tonight. Blech. I'll be at "work" (since I take classes where I work) for 12 hours. Not fun.

It's also going to be 30 degrees cooler today. Sad.

  • Morning! It is supposed to rain here today, so maybe we will all be able to breathe again after the pollen gets washed out of the air. So goodbye temps in the upper 80's, but also goodbye sinus headache.
  • I have MAJOR jealousy of spring breakers.

Even in college, I never took spring break.  I always worked extra and picked up additional shifts, dogsat for people going out of town, etc.

That's probably my only regret from college.

Yeah, I heard we might get some showers too.  I thought we were supposed to be clear and sunny, but I wouldn't mind some relief from the pollen.  EVERYTHING is green.  EVERYTHING.

Here everything is yellow. I think it's pine pollen? Whatever, that shiit coats EVERYTHING. And I don't mind rain on 1 day during my spring break. Innocent

    Yeah, it's green/yellow.

Whatever color it is, it's coated EVERYTHING.

Lola was laying in the street while I was waiting for Mia to finish going potty and her whole belly was yellow/green when she stood.  It was funny AND gross.
  • I just want to crawl back into bed. Yesterday I worked from 5:45-9, had class from 9:30-2:30, and went back to work from 3-6. Ugh
  • My entire car was caked in pollen this morning. My allergies are killng me.

Mr. Arb and I are making progress on planning our big trip next year.  I think by the end of the month we'll have our itinerary set up for the most part.

  • morning..

I have 4 more days of work.  And they are long days too - back to back 6am to 5pm trips.   Plus I have a 5 course dinner wine pairing (Turley wines) thing to go tonight.

I'm tired just thinking of my weekend.

  • Yo! I am exactly one month away from my wedding today. I kind of want to throw up.

I'm only annoyed because tomorrow is the 6am-5pm day.  The dinner is at 7pm add in everyone will be chefs and wine sommelier, well there is a potenial that it could be a long evening and I have to get up early.   Plus my bosses, boss is going to be onboard, so I have to have my 'a' game on.

No. What a complete fucking bastard. I am so pissed about it. Matt is going to his office today to see if he's there, but at this point, I don't trust that he would show up for the wedding or do a remotely good job. I think I'm just going to try to book another one. Just cross your fingers that I'll be able to find someone on this short notice. What a boner killer this has been. Ugh. People really suck sometimes.
  • That sucks Cew. I hope he drops a speaker on his penis today.
  • Ciao! Today is insane day for jet lag and it's killing me.  I got up at 8am to be with H before he had to fly to Copenhagen (poor guy!), and I was up for about 2 hours before I completely crashed... for 2.5 hours.  When I woke up, I was kind of hallucinating and walked over to our bed and crashed there for another 2 hours.  Bad, bad, bad.

Nah, it must be something in the air over here.  I did just about the same thing.  Unfortunately I do not have jet lag to blame it on.

This is my favorite idea so far. He deserves severe genital injury.
  • Bec, you come up with the most imaginative curses. I think that's why i less than 3 you so.
  • I have a soft spot for creative justice. There are a lot of people who should be thankful I'm not a judge! ;)

  • This is such a long and boring week for me.  Blech.

Cew, sorry about your dj.  :(

Tonight my college's alum group is having a happy hour and I was all set to go.  Then I realized that it's a cash bar, which they mentioned in some of their emails and FB events and not in other announcements.  I hate it when they want people to come to this stuff, advertise it like everything is free, and then you show up and it's not.  Lame sauce.

Okay darling, come up with some creative justice for my ex-husband, who forgot his younger daughter's birthday last Saturday.
  • Good morning! 5 hours and 49 minutes left of work!

I'm leaving an hour early today because we have our first appointment with the baby making doctor tonight. My nerves are shot.
  • Lynda, I can see how the timing might be major-league tiring. Do long trips typically yield good tips, though?

You just never know. It all depends  on the people.

Oddly our biggest tip trip is by far the easiest trip.  The guests are on the boat for 1 hour (drinking and having apps), then they are off the boat for 3 hours (we just read, eat, talk, hangout), then they are on the boat for another 45-60minutes (normally  in a food coma, but some will have some coffee and bailey's and a small desert).   They normally tip us 20%.

Tomorrows trip is from 8am until 4pm.  We take them snorkeling, feed them , breakast, lunch, snacks in the afternoon, serve alcohol for 6 hours, take them to an awesome beach, etc.  They however tend to only tip 10% or so.. It's really odd.

  • Morning everyone!  I'm ready for this week to be over.  I've been Cranky McBitchypants this week over FI being unemployed and getting to do whateverthefuckhewants all day while I go to work and I just want the attitude to be gone.

We're going to my cousin and her boyfriend's place this weekend so the boys can play golf and her and I can fabric shop (she's going to make me table runners for the wedding).  Sunday we'll hopefully get to see the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC on our way home.  So hopefully that will bring me to a better place.

  • Jajph, are you going to an RE? Good luck!

Lynda, that is odd that they only tip 10% for such a long day. Bummer!
