Too many freaking cooks spoil the f-ing soup...

My boss feels the need to put his input on everything, just to say he did something (for example, when I was trying to schedule meetings with a few major companies, he told the partners, "C did a lot of it, but I helped draft the emails." Uh, wtf?! No you didn't, you told me, "You should include this phrasing" which I didn't do anyway because you're a moron. If I had, we wouldn't have gotten the freaking meetings that you are now taking credit for).

Anyway, we have a big event coming up. I drafted a design for the save the date. I couldn't find an 'open door' image anyone liked, so I made my own - from scratch. That's NOT EASY. I'll share that image (without the identifying information). My boss immediately starts going, "I think it looks like an elephant's nose. What's with this wording? We should say this." Um, no, it's not an elephant's nose you moron, it's a cityscape, and it's the image on our business cards and letterhead so I don't think the partners agree with you. And would a "good job" be too hard? Oh yes, right, because everything I do good you feel is a direct challenge to your authority.

See that door? From scratch. And it doesn't look like a freaking elephant behind it.

Beach- Funny you should say that! It was actually at Safeway that this happened this morning.

I pressed no and mean no. I feel like an ahole now! I agree with you, I like to do the whole round up thing.

I mean, I like donating but I go in A LOT of mornings because of being a teacher and having to pick up random stuff. I don't have enough money to donate every single day. Rarr!

Haha wow Sami Joe you live my life!!! I hate hate hate when FI deploys and t they stop over in europe (sometimes to sometimes done ya know) and sometimes they get leave time. I get these ridiculous drunk calls every time!!!! and it is always between the hours of 1 and 5 am. And there are always a million things going on in the background. Last time there was talk of vampires, werewolves, baklava, chupacabras, strip clubs, a lost purple door and a bunch of other things I cant remember. I was completely lost. And i don't begrudge FI the fun time, but I do get annoyed when that is my only phone call that I get - I'd prefer a preemptive hey hun going out sorry if i call you at 2 am txt. It is also annoying because when he is home he can never go out because of their program so even weekends get killed a lot and if they don't get shot down because of the strong possibility that he will get called back any time of day to have to go on a work related thing means that we can never both just go out and have fun, get a hotel and both go drinking or really relax because chances are he will get called back and we would have to leave. So when I'm all sad he left tears etc be safe I get this oh yeah party call - every time. I on the other hand go out and he gets mopey and sad about it if we arent together. He is never mean and always "lets me go" but i can tell he feels left out. The outside of US strip clubs also bug me, FI hates strip clubs and only goes when forced, but yeah it is just the sketchyness.---- done :)

I also hate the donation thing and I don't like self check out because of the job thing and basically paying the store to do it myself, but sometimes i'm so fed up with people that I just want to pack my own bag, get out and not get harrased about donations haha so i break and use self check out, but I really try to grocery shop at smaller more personal stores like Met (in Seattle/Tacoma) or whole foods or some local mom pop stores here in louisiana so there are no self check outs or annoying cashers that have no idea what they are doing. I like the personal happy ones that I can talk to that don't smoosh my break and eggs and hold conversations yelling over your head to isles down.

at the moment i'm annoyed that school is sucking out my soul :) haha i love school but right now I'm doing a lot of review crap and it is taking way to much effort since i'm not learning a single thing in any of my classes right now.

Haha.. I can see it (and your boss is a moron, because I'm pretty sure tha at least 90% of the world knows that it's called a TRUNK not a Nose.) I can see it, but only because you said that first.. you know what I mean? If I had just seen the picture first I wouldn't have gotten Elephant Trunk at all.

Still no word from H.. I'm seething now.. granted it's probably only like 6 or 7am for him. If I weren't in the military, seen the pictures and videos and some of these placese first hand (Things as a spouse.. trust me Ladies, you don't want to know about) I probably just wouldn't have cared.. ugh..

Yeah. H always comes back from trips and tells me about the places they go.. and how all the guys are like "don't tell my wife!! Don't tell your wife so my wife doesn't find out!!!"
My H can't keep anything from me... But He also knows telling me= me laughing it off much more often then mad at him.
When he was in Japan they went to a whorehouse.. />_< bahaha.. It's a pretty funny story actually.. and H is scarred for life from it now. (They thought it was a stripclub/danceclub. big mistake. big, hilarious mistake. :P )

Calindi- I know what you mean about the whole status crap.. I'm sooo sick of seeing those. I swear they are more often than not, people with low IQs (rude? yes I know.) And I hate anything that is harmful to animals.. It breaks my heart.
That post wasn't a "donate to this, or "make awareness of cancer" crap... I got that post through "dogs on deployment" as a "hey, heads up this happened at a couple parks", so I looked it up on the rumor website. I always check stuff like that because it definitely sounds like it's made up.. It kills me that it's not. :(

have you read http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/ ? Hilarious. One is that we love to "spread awareness" because it makes us feel like we're doing something by throwing lavish parties and get hammered. :P

haha Hike... I know.. I'm such a hippie.. I accept it. :P H is waaaaay more than I am! We are those super "don't eat preservatives", recycle everything and refuse Styrofoam, bring our tumblers to Starbucks, carpool to save gas, read Time and Popular Science, watch political debates and The Daily Show kinda people. :P I try not to be that pretentious type though.. I'm surrounded by those in Bellingham and I want to hit a lot of them. GL in the south!!! hahaha! It still throws off H how liberal EVERYONE is up here, since he is from the south and he was raised such a liberal.

o0o0o Sami!!-
I make two bunt cakes, and flip the bottom one and set the other one on top.. so It looks like pumpkin shape! Then I put a ice cream cone on the top upside down and color the frosting witha little food coloring so it looks like a pumpkin.. Something along the lines of this... (not my picture, but very very similar to what I do :o) )

Okay so here's my rant for the day. FI and I have been together basically 3 years now. Before we even started dating we knew that neither of us wanted kids, they just aren't our thing. I love other peoples kids, I love being around kids (I actually plan on working at a daycare while I finish up the last year of my degree when we PCS in December) but even as a child I knew I didn't want to have my own kids. Everyone knows this.

Well I've had 3 friends of mine say they are "taking bets" on when FI and I are going to have kids on purpose. They add on purpose because him and I agreed if a "surprise" ever happened we would make the best of it because it's already done.

But everytime one of them brings it up they are always like "you will change your mind" or "we will see" like it's irritating to think that they think they know FI and I more than we do. And know how we feel/what we think. I am more than happy with just FI and my awesome furbaby, I am not sure why people can't accept it.

Maybe I'm being ridiculous, oh well.

Going off on what Tae said I hate that when I put something on facebook about being sick and or tired, people automatically assume I'm pregnant. So, just because I got married, I'm going to get pregnant right away? Um, no, if I was able to protect myself this long, I'm not all of a sudden going to get stupid and forget how to prevent pregnancy because I'm married. Also, even if I were pregnant, you would not be guessing through ambiguous facebook posts about being sick/tired.

H and I have a baby plan. We are waiting until the next PSC so around 3 years. Our families keep nagging/pressuring us to get pregnant now. Seriously what a terrible thing to rush. If my mom tells me one more time my nephew needs a cousin to play with- I'm hanging up on her. Not to mention what good would it be to give my nephew a cousin that is 800 miles away? We've been LD for 6 yrs can we just be together for while?

I can only imagine how annoying it would be if we didn't plan to conceive at all.

My rant of the night:
I'm sick of military politics. I grew up with it, I know how it works, but I just can't handle idiots. (
background: She is some girlfriend of a guy in the squadron who has been dating him for 8 months and gave him a ring ultimatum.. idiot. She has taken taken a couple classes online so she tells everyone she has an degree in business admin.. uh.. two classes towards you AA at some online CC does not count as a degree in biz admin.. idiot. She also cannot hold a retail job because she doesn't know how to NOT talk back to people when they don't like sometime, like a wait time, or asking her to be at work on time. idiot. She doesn't like ME because her bestie in the squadron and I are not huge fans of each other, although we're very cordial with no problem.. Just wouldn't CHOOSE to hang out together. I had told a mutual aquantance 'no thanks but have fun' to an invite about Navy ball dress shopping.)
She actually had the nerve to tell ME,
QUOTE---- /> "You better watch yourself or you won't have friends and will end up alone when Fi deploys"

uh.. You think all my friends are people I have met in the squadron no more than THREE times?!! Yeeeeeeah. I'm in my HOME STATE idiot. I have friends here from when I lived here as a child, from 3 years at 2 different Starbucks, and from 3 different colleges. You're an idiot. Don't talk to me.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH squadron politics. I haz hate for them. I don't have the patience, time, and energy for these people. Some ladies are great, but no thank you to a bunch of them. I think I'll just stick to being a good little wifey at the functions and let that be that. *shakes head*

FTL omg hahah nice that drives me nutttts. I hate the politics and even though I have mixed feelings about being home I have to say not being by FI and not being in a unit persay anymore makes me happy because I don't have to deal with that crap fro a while there was some major drama when I was in WA with him I just wanted to beat people.

Tae and all of the baby dramas - Haha my family wont drop it they now think because we got engaged its only a matter of time before we want kids - little do they know i have a IUD mwahaha. We haven't decided if we want kids, but people constantly bug us about it especially in the old unit as FTL worded it - idiots. We wouldn't do anything about it if it was said and done, but we also aren't all omg yay baby either. We are also legally th guardians of my "nephew" (no real relation) if anything happens to our friends so until we are married and in one place for more then a year or two we wouldn't have our own when in such horrible situation we could possibly end up with a child or if anything happened to one of them we would be even more involved then we already are and I've basically been there every day of his life and still am extremely involved as well as FI. So we joke all the time with them (they have no siblings or really family) that he is our rent-a-child and so there is no reason to go through having our own. I also cant believe how many people have taken engaged as a synonym for preggers. did I miss a memo? atleast it is better then the living in sin talk i got i guess haha - thanks grandma really?
