Pamperin Max is the only thing that works for me now in my old age. I even turned one of my co-workers on to them. If it's real bad I like the new Therma cares for cramps.

Sorry Night I feel for you. My worst fear was starting on my wedding day, I got lucky (if you call it lucky) and started the next day. I hate being at work, and having no relief.

I found it always helped to eat something and have a closer to full belly, they seemed worse on an empty stomach. Other than that, a couple Advil and maybe one of those stick-on heating patches if you can run out to a drugstore and get one. Sorry you're feeling crappy! =/

You should keep a heating pad at work to put in your office chair. A lady I used to work with did that.

I appreciate the pointers. I'm going off the pill in about a month. I anticipate my life being a much worse place 3-4 days a month (when the cramps are bad. Menstruation itself wouldn't be that short.)

I really kinda hate the pill.

If you get desperate, you can take up to eight Motrin a day.

My cramps were awful when I first started up until I went on the pill. My mom used to give me hot water, lemon and gin.

Masterbating is proven to help cramps because of the muscle tension and relaxation after an orgasm.

Given that you're at work, neither of my suggestions are entirely helpful

Tylenol, heating pad, crying/whining and generally being mad at the world until I wear myself out and fall asleep. Which I realize is not helpful to you at work. Sorry, I feel your pain, though.

I've been on the pill since 18. I used to take a sick day every month because I was vomiting from cramps. I really hope my body doesn't decide to do that again.

I'm obsessed with the pill.

The only reason I went off it was to help encourage our abstinence during our engagement. It's the only thing keeping me from jumping the guy.

I cannot wait to get back on the pill - I'm neurotic and I love routines, but of course - not having to deal with the boiling cramps every month will be lovely.

I usually start with 3 ibuprofin, then take 2 tylenol an hour after that. booo cramps.

At work-I find it helps a little if I sit with my legs also in the chair. Sort of a sitting fetal position.

2 Aleve (or 4 motrin every 4ish hours), exercise, herbal tea like mint or chamomile all help. I like to put a (dry) towel in the microwave for a few seconds. That always feels good.

Also, when I have really bad cramps/backache my FI feels bad for me, and waits on my hand and foot.

There's not much he can do, but his attempts always make me feel better.

Pamperin - lots of it. Stay away from salt and caffeine, crying alot and making FI sit on my stomach.
