Wedding Party

Little Bridemaids?????

Me and my fiancee have 4 girls 8, 7, 4, and 4 and we are having the 2 4 year olds be flower girls and he said well I want the other two to have a part in the wedding also.. so then he came up with the idea of them walking down the isle as bridesmaids and standing up with me when I get married... would that be to weird to have our 8 and 7 year old be bridesmaids?

A bridesmaid is whoever you want to stand up and witness your marriage. Their duties are to gather the agreed upon attire, and show up, on time, sober, on the day. I'm guessing you'd be getting their dresses etc anyways, and a friend or family member will be taking them on the day... Presumably them being drunk is something you don't need to worry about... I say go for it. Personally? How adorable :]
So, maybe things don't always go as planned... Maybe that's okay. I may be alone for now, but my baby boy is on his way, and I wouldn't change a thing.

    Thank you...
  • I think it's an excellent idea that the older girls are bridesmaids!  There is no age requirement - they just need a dress, to walk down the aisle, and smile for pictures.

I would also call them bridesmaids - not junior bridesmaids or little bridesmaids.  The junior and little just remind them that they are little girls and no one wants to be reminded of that.

Thank you... The more I think of it, it sounds like a great idea and the girls are really excited...
