Destrehan Plantation Mule Barn

Did you or someone you know have a wedding reception at the Mule Barn at Destrehan Plantation? How was it? Did they cater or did you have to find your own caterer? What about drinks? Music - how was the sound system? Did it look chic and rustic or just old and dingy? Was it beautiful or was it a disaster? Did they provide table linens or did you have to find your own? I really love the thought of having a rustic wedding, but it's not easy to find a location in New Orleans proper or the surrounding areas that's not outragously priced and that fits that description.

    Thanks. I got some info from their planner and it would be 1/2 the cost of the original place we were looking at!

    Any idea of how much the mule barn costs to rent for about 4 hours? My venue cancelled my November wedding due to the hurricane so I'm panicking..
