Poll: How big is your e-ring? (Now with clicky poll!)

Meaning, center or biggest stone.  Not aggregate with all the little stones (if you have them)

Figured I'd try to get some flameworthy anonymity going  and this is the best I could come up with :)

I'd like to know who has the 5+ carat - it's clearly not me!  My biceps would be bigger from carrying it around all day.

What was the "special snowflake" thing from again? Wasn't that a poll on another board about wedding budgets and their top budget was, like, $7000 or something?

    Maybe its a cubic?

I don't like that you can't see who responds to what on these polls - takes away from the fun of it
  • edited December 2011

I dont care one way or the other but I think people would still answer if the polls werent annon, since when has anyone been shy around here?
  • edited December 2011
I don't really care if people know how many carats my ring is honestly.

i like the fact the polls are anonoymous... ppl should feel more inclined to be honest.  of course, i guess, for every honest answer there is some insanely bogus one, like 5k.

Allie and Erika, I think you're just jealous that 5 carats' husband/fiance loves her *that* much more than yours do. Wink

FutureMrsF, these types of polls typically didn't go so well in the past... lots of people wouldn't answer (probably particularly if their answers were on either extreme, but who knows) and there was usually a lot of flaming.  There was sometimes lots of awesomeness though.

5 ct WTF  seriously though I wanna know who now.  I don't care who knows the size of my ERing...size means shyt to me.  Well in rings that is Wink

Wasn't there a poll like this before the new knot came on? I'm pretty sure I remember a couple more 2ct plus's. So bs on who ever said that in the last poll. Now that it's anonymous we're being a little more truthful.

I'd like to see how this compares to a national board poll on the same topic.

i bet its about the same nationally... again, girls see diamond rings in pictures, nice big ones, and want them, no matter the quality.  some poor white trash girl is sporting a glass-5K while a nyc chick making 6 figs a year might have on simple but perfect 1K.

and yes, i'm jealous Tongue out
  • edited December 2011
jealous of the glass 5k or the 6 figs?

Melissa I wouldn't be so sure it's the same on a national board. Down here in GA, I'd say maybe 60% of my customers will comment on the size of my ring (and not always nice comments!), but it's pretty much the norm, or more widely seen and accepted in NJ.

I think you mean Allie. =)

I've seen a couple of similar polls, and it seemed like a lot of people in other states had <1 ct stones.
  • edited December 2011
I am kind of surprised that this poll got over 100 responses.  That is another thing that shows how many lurkers there are out there.

I have an heirloom diamond, so I was stuck with what I got. I don't really like sparkly jewelry (I know, stupid me) So I'm happy with my just-about-1-ct and a bunch of side stones. plus the center stone was free. Sweet.

that sounds bad, "stuck with what I got..." I love my ring, I just mean that we didn't have to choose a diamond =p
