I am trying to get organzied, and was wondering about tips. I believe the rule is, if they own the business then you don't give a tip. Is this correct?

I know we want to tip about $20-30/wait staff and bartender at the reception

who else?

My photographer owns her own business, but what about the 2nd photographer?
Our DJ owns his company
So does our reverend (A Simple Vow), our guitarist and florist.

Who am I missing?

    We tipped our DJ, had money for the organist and priest. Normally we would have given tips to the alter servers but there weren't any.

    I think thats about it! We didnt tip the waitstaff because tip and graituity was included.

    I covered this when Ash asked before her wedding, but I'll repeat.

    We didn't tip anyone. Our florist, photog, dj & officiant were all the owners of their business. I started to tell our photog that I had forgotten her TY card & tip at the hotel and she interrupted me, reminded me that she owns her own business and that we were NOT to tip her. So, I took her lead and didn't tip anyone since they were all the owners of their business. Gratuity was included in our bill for the reception, which was why I never even thought to do that.

    At first it felt kind of weird to not tip anyone, then I reminded myself that 100% of what we had paid them (and none of it was anything to sneeze at) was completely theirs. In hindsight, I should have tipped the second photog, but I didn't know who the second photog would be and it never even crossed my mind until...well, until just now.
