PIP: Alterations and the famous Louise

So, I tried on my dress at The Wedding Shoppe and was quoted $345 plus tax for a side tuck ($20), bodice tuck ($125), hem, and either bustle or cutting off train ($205 or $200 respectively) (I might go with a floor length, no train). I do like the fact that TWS will store my dress though as I live in a small apartment with a snooping Fiance!

This price seems outrageous. Especially since my dress is very simple.

So, I am exploring other options (don't need to start alterations till March or April)

can someone send me the info for Louise? Seems like she is Uber popular. Does anyone know if she stores your dress for you?

Have you all found it a pain to transport your dress to and from appointments?

I can be e-mailed at c.b.yenney at gmail.com

p.s. Here is my dress, just for a little PIP

I got my dress at TWS, too, and had my alterations done by Louise.  I stored my dress at TWS until I picked it up for alterations.  After that, Louise keeps it at her house (she has to sew it after all!).  I picked it up a few days before my wedding.
full review of Louise in my bio.

I can send her phone number to anyone who emails me at hkiesling at yahoo.com,

I had my alterations done at the Wedding Shoppe and if I had to do it all over again, would have taken it elsewhere.  If you want the details, you can email me at schaffy at yahoo dot com or check out my review through the Mrs. Twin Cities link on Hkiesling's siggy.
