Wedding Woes

Movies

we watched this weekend...

Kick Azz - which did, indeed, kick butt. I wasn't prepared for that level of violence.

Youth in Revolt - Fight Club with Micheal Cera. The best thing about this movie is the five minutes where you see him play a different character than he does in every other movie (including this one).

Iron Man 2 - yeah...it is what it is.

How to Train Your Dragon - it was sweet and totally makes me want to have a dragon. And be a Viking. And have one of their Viking ship houses.

Yeah, Youth in Revolt was turrible, as is Scott Pilgrim vs the World.  I loved him in Superbad and Nick & Nora, but nothing since then.

We finally saw Black Swan this weekend.

I watched Eight Below last night.  WHY WHY WHY did no one tell me this movie was about dogs being abandoned and dying?!  How did I never ever hear of this movie?  I thought it would be about some south pole explorers.  Not dying dogs trying to survive.  And of course the minute I was sucked in, I had to hang on.

We watched How to Train Your Dragon on Saturday night. Super cute. It probably would be a little scary to little kids, though.

I watched Let Me In. I didn't know that it involved vampires. I hate vampires, but it wasn't that bad.

I tried to watch the original - Let The Right One In - and couldn't. Nothing. Happened. for 45 minutes! And it's not like I expect bloody action right off the bat, but this was just painful.

How To Train Your Dragon is one of my recent favorites. I'm convinced the dragon animators are all cat owners.

I saw something on the making of this movie, and they did study cats for the movements of the dragons. (It's not like they could study dragons, after all!)
