He's so precious, it almost hurts. What's funny is you can say, "Ethan, on the ______ cd, what's #__"

He honest-to-God almost always knows the answer. And that's for any CD that he listens to regularly. If he likes a song he'll say, "What's this called? What number is it?" And that's it. He knows it. It's hilarious.

*If so, which? I broke my toe playing soccer barefoot, in wet grass, in Wales, while spending a summer abroad learning the language. It hurt for months but it was totally worth it.
*Favorite type of cake? Chocolate.
*Do you like Valentines Day? Meh? We don't make a big deal out of it.
*Confess something- 1) I'm neurotically socially anxious about making people mad at me. I'm up late worrying about a friend being mad at me right now. It's so bad I'm scared of my florist. 2) I have a 30 hr/month research fellowship doing busywork data entry, but I've only done two hours this month because I was sick for three weeks and I'm taking three classes.

Awesome jess. I read a news story recently about a little kid (2 or 3 I think) who was a total Beatles aficionado, knew all the facts and words to everything. You should totally get your nephew in the news for that, because frankly he's a whole lot cuter than that kid was.

Then the media would make a big deal out of it, then they'd pressure a surviving Beatle to meet the kid (hopefully not Ringo), then Paul would come over to your nephew's house and I could "accidentally" stop by to borrow a cup of sugar, then after that I would probably need to be supervised so that I didn't steal Paul McCartney.

He doesn't fully realize that J&G have kicked the bucket. He knows they don't make music anymore, but I don't know if he realizes that the person that he's living his life for is no longer with us.

If Paul was at your nephew's house, I would make it my neighborhood. Oh, that makes me so sad about him not knowing about J&G. I didn't even think of that. He's really lucky to be able to enjoy these things for a part of his life with none of the sadness.

That's kind of the hope. He knows that people and animals don't live forever, but I don't think we've decided to drop that bomb.

We had to explain to him that my fish died one day when he came over and noticed they were gone. Whoops. Haha.

He really is such a cutie! I have a little nephew (my first) who just turned 1, and I can't wait until he's Ethan's age so we can have chit chats about things and he'll actually know who I am. And yeah, I'll pretty much be AWing him all the time too, so you're not alone!

Don't wish this time away!

I love this phase that he's in, but oh, I miss those early days. So, so, much.

Ethan is my first nephew too.

I hadn't seen him since Sunday until today, and he was eating dinner when I got there. AS SOON as he was done, he goes, "Aunt Jessica, come and play with me, okay?"

Oh, that's so sweet! I would have melted too. I don't mean to wish away his baby years, it's just that my sister lives in a different state so I never get to see him anyway, and we're trying to set up Skype but it's going to be like, "hey, look at the baby! Baby, look at the computer screen!" Baby: :gurgle gurgle: So at least when he's talking and stuff he'll remember me and we can chat. They're all precious years I think. And I am totally not a kid person, so that's saying something.
